Upon arriving in Sukhothai Village, your journey to discover the Serpent’s Chest begins at the Wat Chana Songkhram fast travel point. Head westward to locate Voss’ Camp, an enemy-infested area that may require stealth to navigate effectively. To blend in with the soldiers, seek out the Royal Army Uniform within this camp, enabling Indiana to move undetected among the foes.

While exploring Sukhothai Village, players might already have a main quest tied to Voss’ Camp, titled “The Voss’ Gold Stash”Field Network. This quest aids in accumulating enough currency to acquire the Rebreather in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle. The Rebreather is pivotal for underwater exploration, unlocking new locations crucial to solving the Serpent’s Chest Mystery.

Before entering Voss’ Camp, be sure to locate an entrance by climbing under the barrier that separates it from the rest of the Sukhothai region.

Track Down Three Different Ancient Keys

Upon locating the Serpent’s Chest, you’ll notice that it is secured by three distinct locks, each requiring a unique key. According to Voss’ Letter, this Chest originates from a dig site in Gizeh, another region within Indiana Jones & TGC renowned for its myriad side quests. Voss’s research indicates that the Chest can only be accessed by acquiring three ancient keys, which can be found in the following locations:

  • The Vatican
  • Giza
  • Shanghai

While Voss’s Letter provides hints regarding the whereabouts of each key, players will need to explore these regions to confirm their locations. As this quest requires revisiting previous areas, it presents a lengthy but rewarding challenge.

Where To Find The Vatican Ancient Key

The hidden Ancient Key in The Vatican is found at the Excavation Site, accessible via the Apostolic Palace. Both regions are notably restricted, so be vigilant while navigating through them. Upon arriving at the excavation, descend the ladders to reach the main underground dig site.

This site also features the “Snake in the Garden”Mystery, which players can undertake while hunting for the Ancient Key associated with the Serpent’s Chest.

Once underground, proceed right past the main pillars in the dig site to journey further into a submerged path. Continue until you reach a partially flooded area where you can deploy the Rebreather. Swim through this pool to discover a concealed underwater passage, obstructed by a large log in front of a gate leading to another area.

Clear the log and swim upwards to unveil a secret pottery chamber. Within this small room, the ancient key is concealed inside a human skull located directly beneath the largest pot, surrounded by other shattered pottery strewn across the floor.

Where To Find The Gizeh Ancient Key

The Gizeh Ancient Key can be sourced from the Khentkawes Excavation, which is easily reachable by fast traveling. Unlike the Vatican site, Gizeh’s dig site is expansive, necessitating a trek to the central pit during your search for the key. Before taking the elevator down to the main area, bypass the right-most entrance connected to the elevator’s power generator and turn right to ascend through the excavation site.

As you climb the stairs, take a left into a water-filled chamber reminiscent of the location in The Vatican. Use Indiana’s whip to navigate this area, then slip through the support structures until you reach a platform above patrolling guards. Before you encounter two crates, divert to the right on a visible path.

This path will lead you to a pool almost completely covered with rocks. Utilize the Rebreather to dive into the water and remove a log obstructing a hole in the far wall. Passing through this opening reveals a small chamber where the Ancient Key awaits atop a mound of sand.

Where To Find The Shanghai Ancient Key

Shanghai, one of the more compact areas in Indiana Jones & TGC, simplifies the quest for the Ancient Key. Upon your return to this location, start from the rooftops where Indiana and Gina once stole a plane. Follow the original route across rooftops until you find a spot adjacent to the river.

Jump into the river at a height that avoids fall damage. Once in the water, swim to the river’s far corner and dive beneath the surface, employing the Rebreather. Another log will block your progression, so remove it to continue your journey.

When you navigate through the passage created by the log, you’ll soon find an area to resurface. Here, nestled among the debris, lies the Ancient Key, completing your task to access the Serpent’s Chest. Now, it’s time to return to Sukhothai and Voss’ Camp to finally unlock this treasure.

Completing “The Serpent’s Chest”Mystery marks a significant achievement, as it stands as one of the most extensive quests available in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle.
