Initiating the Monkey Business Mystery
Gain Entry to a Concealed Facility
Upon arriving in Sukhothai Village, head south along the river from the western entrance of Wat Mahathat. Proceed until you discover a dock southeast of one of the village’s larger islands. This exploration leads you to uncover the Fascist Armory, a clandestine bunker tucked away in the jungle, brimming with equipment utilized by various adversaries you’ve previously encountered.
Access to this Armory is obstructed by a daunting barbed-wire fence. However, a sizable gap conveniently lets you slip through. Look for this entrance to the right of a wooden plank, vividly adorned with a tiger spray-painted on it. Once inside, navigate through some ruins until you reach a small encampment housing the Armory. To find vital clues, make your way into the tallest structure in the vicinity.
Keep in mind that the area is swarming with fascist soldiers, so stealth is your best strategy while exploring the facility. A beneficial tip for beginners in Indiana Jones & TGC is to prioritize avoidance of confrontations, especially within such a hostile environment.
Resolving the Monkey Business Mystery
Locate the Missing Key
After perusing the Mystery Note, you’ll discover that the keys to the Equipment Room have gone missing. Indiana suspects that the mischievous monkeys residing around Sukhothai Village may have pilfered these shiny objects. Thus, your mission is to track down these monkeys before the fascist soldiers can retrieve the lost keys.
By locating the note adjacent to where the Equipment Room keys were previously stored, you will earn 50 Adventure Points. This particular Mystery shares similarities with “A Thief’s Promise” found in Gizeh, though it solely requires finding a treasure to complete. Fortunately, the Equipment Room key is nearby, so exit the Armory via the gap you entered.
From the exit, veer left past the fence and scale over the ruined bricks that form part of the fascists’ encampment. As you continue forward and wade through the muddy waters on your right, you will reach a small clearing where you’ll see the monkeys frolicking with an array of stolen trinkets from the Fascist Armory. Look for the Equipment Room Key atop a small rock, situated alongside a pistol, several books, and a larger key ring to access other areas within the Armory.
Though you are unable to take the entire key ring, feel free to return to the Armory and unlock the door where the Mystery began. This action grants access to the Equipment Room, where you can claim a rare item as a reward. Completing the Mystery not only provides you with this prize but also opens up valuable resources, including:
