The forthcoming update for Path of Exile 2 is set to introduce a much-awaited quality-of-life improvement: the option to customize font size when using a controller. This enhancement, confirmed by Grinding Gear Games (GGG), will be included in patch 0.1.1c, scheduled for release at the end of this week, along with several additional features and fixes.
Since its complex early access launch in December, Path of Exile 2 has undergone a series of updates, with GGG diligently responding to player feedback. Within just a few months, significant changes have been implemented, from critical bug fixes to noteworthy adjustments in gameplay. Notable updates in January introduced four new map areas, introduced new enemies, and refined several challenging boss encounters. This latest patch, responding directly to player input, promises to enhance the overall gaming experience.
With patch 0.1.1c, players can look forward to increased font sizes in “various locations, ” which is a highly anticipated change considering the existing font size has made gameplay challenging for some console players. While the specific locations for the font size increase have not yet been disclosed, this feature marks a positive step as 2025 progresses. Additionally, the update will improve item navigation for controller users, further enriching the gaming experience.
We’re currently working on patch 0.1.1c for Path of Exile 2 that includes bug fixes and minor new features. We plan to deploy this patch by the end of this week. Following in the footsteps of previous updates, patch 0.1.1c brings new features that closely align with GGG’s vision for the game. Players can now utilize up to five respawn attempts in challenging areas such as the Twisted Domain and the Crux of Nothingness, as well as during the Olroth, Origin of the Fall boss fight, contingent upon difficulty settings. Additionally, new minimap icons for strongboxes enhance navigation, and League icons will now remain visible even when players venture far from their original locations.
One frequent criticism among players centered around the scarcity of checkpoints on the map. Patch 0.1.1c rectifies this by adding more checkpoints in various areas and improving the placement of existing ones, simplifying navigation and enhancing accessibility throughout the game.

Moreover, this update will address a number of bugs, such as the issue preventing Damage over Time mechanics from accurately attributing kills to players, particularly in instances involving poison or bleed damage while foes retained their Energy Shield. With these enhancements in patch 0.1.1c, GGG continues its commitment to refining Path of Exile 2 as it approaches its full launch.
