Microsoft has officially announced the date and time for its forthcoming ID@Xbox showcase, which promises exciting updates from various indie developers including PlayStack and Dontnod. As the gaming industry enters 2025, Microsoft is dynamically adapting its strategies, not only making substantial game announcements but also broadening its multiplatform publishing approach.
Kicking off the year, Microsoft hosted a successful Xbox Developer Direct, presenting a detailed look at several anticipated titles for 2025 such as South of Midnight and Expedition 33. The showcase came with unexpected surprises, particularly the revelation from Team Ninja about Ninja Gaiden 4 and the immediate release of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. With this momentum, Microsoft is set to continue its efforts by hosting the ID@Xbox showcase later this month.

Fans can also expect Dontnod to present fresh details about their new venture, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, which is eagerly awaited.
In addition to its showcase initiatives, Microsoft is actively transforming into a multiplatform publisher, making strides to grow its audience by sharing Xbox exclusives with other platforms. Recently, the gaming giant announced that Forza Horizon 5 would be making its way to PlayStation this Spring, featuring cross-play capabilities and enhanced functionalities for the DualSense controller. Furthermore, Playground Games is developing a new free content update titled Horizon Realms, which aims to curate a selection of popular content and introduce new surprises for players.
