“I’m not too sure how this fight will end” – Superbon looks to beat Marat Grigorian in any way possible on April 5

Despite the rematch against longtime rival Marat Grigorian, Thai superstar Superbon is resolutely focused on securing a win this week, regardless of the method.

At ONE Friday Fights 58 on April 5, the top two kickboxers will face off once again at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. This time, they will be competing for the interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world title.

In March 2022, Superbon, who was the reigning featherweight kickboxing champion, successfully defended his world title by defeating the experienced Armenian fighter via unanimous decision. This upcoming match will serve as a rematch of their previous encounter.

As he prepares for their highly anticipated matchup, the 33-year-old Pattalung, Thailand, native expressed his belief in his ability to come out victorious against Grigorian. He is determined to capitalize on any opportunities that come his way in order to secure the win.

During an interview with MMA India, he stated:

“I’m not too sure how this fight will end, but I will try to knock him out. If I cannot, I will win by points for sure.”

Superbon’s upcoming fight at ONE Friday Fights 58 is a crucial step in his journey towards redemption following his loss of the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title to Chingiz Allazov via second round knockout in January of last year.

Despite putting up a valiant fight, he ultimately lost via majority decision to Tawanchai PK Saenchai, another Thai superstar, in December while competing for the featherweight Muay Thai championship.

Meanwhile, in his most recent fight in January, Grigorian emerged victorious by knocking out Thai Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the third round.

The 58th edition of Friday Fights will be broadcast live on April 5 through a global pay-per-view on watch.onefc.com.

Superbon announced that in addition to competing for the interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world title, he will also be giving fans a thrilling performance at ONE Friday Fights 58 on April 5 in Thailand.

The highly acclaimed Thai athlete will once again face off against his Armenian opponent, Marat Grigorian, in the main event at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Supebon expressed that being entertaining is always a crucial aspect of his fights, as it is expected of him as an experienced fighter.

“Yeah [it’s important to put on a show] because, for me. we fight a lot in our lives. And in my life, I lose and win every time. It took me a very long time to come here, so putting on a show is a must.”

Superbon will be making his seventh appearance at ONE Friday Fights 58, having debuted in July 2020.
