The seventh season of Netflix’s Love Is Blind debuted on October 2, 2024, introducing viewers to a whirlwind of romance and drama. Following the premiere, new episodes (10 & 11) dropped on October 16, 2024, showcasing three couples still preparing to walk down the aisle and discover whether their love can truly withstand the test of reality.

The featured couples this season include Taylor & Garrett, Ashley & Tyler, and Marissa & Ramses. Taylor, a 29-year-old clean energy consultant residing in Washington, DC, found her soulmate in Garrett, a quantum physicist, during their time in the pods.

Upon their first encounter in Love Is Blind season 7, Taylor and Garrett experienced an instant connection, with Garrett even agreeing to relocate to San Diego to nurture their long-term relationship. Having grown up in San Diego, Taylor noted that her family still lives there.

In a recent interview with Glamour on October 16, Taylor shared her aspirations of returning to her hometown after marriage, reflecting on her unsuccessful dating ventures during her five years in Washington, DC. She expressed astonishment at Garrett’s willingness to move, realizing that it would also be beneficial for him.

“I was genuinely surprised they would consider doing something like that. At the time, it struck me as obvious, especially since it’s San Diego. That’s a fantastic place! You love fishing. There’s fishing there,”Taylor commented.

Garrett’s Muffin Message Causes Waves in Love Is Blind

Another couple, Monica and Stephen, had initially appeared to thrive post-honeymoon, but their relationship took a turn when Monica discovered texts of a “sex*ual nature”on Stephen’s phone, revealing communication with an ex. Taylor and Garrett were seen comforting Monica during her confrontation with Stephen on camera.

In the same interview, Taylor mentioned that Garrett had texted Stephen that evening about dropping off some homemade muffins. This led Monica to check Stephen’s phone, where she found the incriminating messages, resulting in the heated confrontation with Taylor and Garrett present. Taylor humorously dubbed this incident “muffin-gate.”

Regarding her relationship with Garrett, Taylor described their dynamic as one based on “level-headedness.”She noted that their mutual effort to approach situations logically has significantly aided their relationship throughout the show.

Subtle connections, such as tattoos representing scientific principles, also helped solidify Taylor and Garrett’s bond in Love Is Blind season 7. Garrett sports a tattoo of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, while Taylor has one of hydrogen, which made her ponder if the universe was nudging them together.

However, their journey wasn’t entirely without its challenges. During their time in the pods, Garrett pointed out Taylor’s guarded nature, as she refrained from answering many of his questions. Recognizing this as a moment of personal growth, Taylor acknowledged that she had been more reserved, influenced by the presence of cameras.

“This experience taught me that I can be introspective while choosing my words wisely, and still find ways to encourage my partner to open up,”she reflected.

In closing, she remarked:

“Although ‘calculated’ wasn’t the most fitting word for Garrett to use, I grasped what he meant. I believe we managed to handle the situation well.”

The season finale of Love Is Blind season 7, where the couple will make their final decisions at the altar, is set to air on Netflix on October 23, 2024.
