“I want to know if he’ll still be able to withstand it” – Prajanchai plans to leg kick Jonathan Di Bella to oblivion

After carefully analyzing Jonathan Di Bella’s performance in his previous fight, Prajanchai PK Saenchai has devised a strategic plan to compensate for his shorter height and limited reach during their upcoming match at the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on April 5.

Prajanchai is set to compete against Di Bella for the ONE strawweight kickboxing world title at ONE Friday Fights 58. His goal is to join the elite group of athletes who have secured two world titles in two separate sports in Bangkok, Thailand.

In an interview with ONE Championship before their champion-versus-champion fight, the current ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion discussed his plan for defeating his taller opponent. He declared:

“In his fight with Danial, Di Bella showed his toughness when he got leg kicked by Danial. He didn’t show any sign of pain. But that was Danial’s kick, not my kick. I want to know if he’ll still be able to withstand it when I kick him.”

The 29-year-old Thai fighter recently avenged his previous loss to long-time rival Joseph Lasiri at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December 2023. He secured a first-round knockout, reclaiming the 26-pound golden belt in the process.

In October 2023 at ONE Fight Night 15, Di Bella successfully defended his kickboxing crown by defeating Danial Wiliams and receiving a unanimous decision nod from the judges.

Prajanchai enters the fight as the unlikely underdog

Despite being a world champion, Prajanchai views himself as the underdog going into his bout against Di Bella due to his significant height and reach advantage.

Moreover, they will compete in the latter’s sport and he has a better understanding of the ruleset.

However, feeling inferior against his opponents is not a new experience for PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym star. This mindset has always been his driving force, as it pushes him to strive for a win.

On April 5, ONE Friday Fights 58 will be streamed on global pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com during Asia’s primetime.
