“I Think I’m Just Done Trying” — Love is Blind Star Hannah Ends Her Wedding Plans with Nick

The latest episodes of Netflix’s hit dating series, Love is Blind, marked the premiere of episodes 10 and 11 on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. In these installments, the featured couples navigated the complexities of daily life while striving to maintain the passion that brought them together. Nonetheless, their relationship journeys were fraught with obstacles.

While some pairs grappled with trust issues, others struggled to reconcile their differing lifestyles and personalities. A prime example is the couple Hannah and Nick, whose experiences outside the pods took an unexpected turn when Hannah acknowledged their lack of compatibility.

In episode 11, entitled “The Risk of Falling in Love,”Hannah expressed her discontent with Nick’s passive attitude and absence of drive. Painfully aware of their issues, she ultimately decided to cancel their wedding, stating:

“I think I’m just done trying.”

Hannah confided that she was exhausted from having to teach Nick “how to love”and consistently push him beyond his comfort zone. Despite her intentions, she saw little to no development in his character. She also perceived him as overly relaxed and lacking the responsibilities expected from an adult. Even when Nick pleaded with her not to belittle him, Hannah stood firm in her stance.

Feeling overwhelmed by their differences, Hannah chose to call off the wedding and end their relationship.

“We are not gonna get married”— Hannah from Love is Blind opts out of marrying Nick

During a candid discussion with Nick in episode 11, Hannah voiced her persistent worries. She mentioned that the “five concerns”she had regarding him remained unresolved because of his repetitive behavior. In her view, he lacked adequate social awareness and respect, describing him as conceited and oblivious to her feelings.

In response, Nick claimed that Hannah was being “demeaning”toward him, criticizing how he conducted his daily life. This prompted Hannah to question his sense of “responsibilities.”Nick assured her that he managed his own life, including work, his vehicle, his cat, and those around him; however, this explanation did not satisfy her.

“I’ve never seen this side of you when you constantly bash me and say, ‘I’m turning you from a boy to a man.’ This is just you being kind of, like, hard on me,”Nick explained.

Hannah sensed Nick becoming overwhelmed by their conversation, yet she chose not to accept that her remarks were harsh.

Hannah accused Nick of being excessively concerned about his reputation, as she believed he worried about appearing poorly in front of his family and friends if he did not participate in trying on wedding dresses like other couples. Nick clarified that his feelings stemmed from Hannah’s comment about not truly knowing him.

Reflecting to the cameras, she remarked how she felt “manipulated”by Nick.

“Nick’s very good at telling people what they want to hear. And I feel very manipulated. I feel very weak. He seemed more focused on how others perceive him rather than truly engaging with me in an open and honest way,”Hannah shared.

Hannah expressed uncertainty about the genuineness of the Nick she had come to know, struggling with trusting his intentions and sincerity towards her and their relationship. She ultimately concluded:

“Right now, you know that this is not gonna work. We are not gonna get married.”

Nick confided to the cameras that he harbored no “ulterior motives other than getting married and finding love.”He admitted to being hopeful about his relationship with Hannah and aspired for a future together. However, the outcome was far from what he anticipated. The couple decided to part ways yet affirmed their continued affection for one another.
