“I think I’d stop punching” – Boxing Twitter reacts after man angers Mike Tyson with accidental punch during casual training session

Despite being 57 years old and not having competed in professional boxing since 2005, Mike Tyson continues to be regarded as one of the most intimidating individuals in the world. During an open training session, the International Boxing Hall of Famer was accidentally punched in the face by a fan who had crossed the line.

‘Iron Mike’ was not pleased with being punched, and as a result, he declared:

“Calm down. If anybody hits me, I’m going to f**k them up. Just letting you know. You made a mistake. The next time, I’m going to f**k you up.”

Mike Tyson reportedly preparing for potential fight against Jake Paul, confirms Dana White

Mike Tyson is scheduled to make his comeback to the boxing ring on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where he will face Jake Paul. This will be the first time the International Boxing Hall of Famer has competed since his exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. It will also be his first professional fight since 2005.

Despite facing criticism, Dana White, a close friend of ‘Iron Mike’, has confirmed that the latter is putting in rigorous training for the match. In a recent interview on the Lex Fridman Podcast, the President and CEO of UFC revealed:

“I love Mike Tyson and I’m not a fan of anybody fighting at our age, but he’s a grown man, obviously, and he’s going to do what he’s going to do, but at least I know I talked to his wife a couple days ago and he’s taking it serious and he’s training for it and you know, so we’ll see how it plays out.”

Despite White’s observation that Tyson had found success outside the boxing world, the opportunity to fight Paul was simply too enticing to turn down. At the time of the match this summer, ‘Iron Mike’ will be facing a significant age gap of 31 years between himself and his opponent.
