Among the featured couples, Asma and Khatab made the choice to meet in person and get engaged. However, when the moment arrived and Khatab appeared before Asma, she felt a wave of anxiety and ultimately declined his proposal.

In episode 5, the couple regrouped, and Asma shared the reasons behind her earlier rejection, reflecting on her thoughts since their initial encounter. She confessed to Khatab:

“Typically, I would choose a fit guy, and I mentioned that in the Pod. But upon getting to know you, I came to realize that this is… It’s all superficial, and such things can change. I can change.”

Asma admitted to Khatab that the reveal had left her “very stressed,”to which Khatab responded that he had noticed her emotional state and tried to help her calm down through breathing exercises. In her confessional, Asma elaborated:

“After the reveal, since I was under so much stress, I felt like I needed time to reflect.”

When they were previously in the pod, Khatab inquired about Asma’s preferences for a partner’s physical traits. Asma responded that she admired a man who “takes good care of himself”and said her ideal partner should “engage in activities and be athletic.”

In response, Khatab admitted that while he had been athletic in the past, he had since let go of his former lifestyle but expressed a wish to return to it.

Reflecting on their initial connection, Asma told Khatab that she would typically lean toward fit men. However, after taking time to contemplate their situation, she concluded that her attraction to physical fitness was purely “superficial”and subject to change. She remarked:
