Big Ed, a star from 90 Day Fiancé, is back on the market after ending his “impulsive”24-hour engagement just days after proposing. The news of his split from 29-year-old Porscha Raemond was confirmed through a video he shared on Instagram on September 23.

In the video, the TLC star reflected on his “impulsive”proposal and discussed his change of heart. He expressed:

“Love is a crazy thing… I did something that was impulsive, I asked this girl to marry me and after considering… It’s too soon and it’s not really what I want, obviously.”

Big Ed elaborated that after speaking with his family, he came to the realization that he “doesn’t want to get married.”He further noted that he values being single and wished Porscha the best in her future endeavors.

Big Ed describes his proposal as “not the right move”

In addition to the video on his main feed, Big Ed also shared the news on his Instagram Stories, labeling his quick engagement as “a whirlwind”and confirming that it “wasn’t the right move”for him. He conveyed:

“As many of you know, I recently proposed in what was a whirlwind and admittedly, a very impulsive moment. After some deep reflection and discussions with those closest to me, I’ve realized that rushing into this decision wasn’t the right move.”

The reality TV personality expressed his respect and affection for Porscha, wishing her “the best moving forward.”His recent proposal to Porscha came just 24 hours after they met in Plantation, Florida, making headlines across social media.

In an interview with Page Six on September 19, Big Ed recounted his first meeting with Porscha, noting that he arrived with “big sandwiches with sparklers.”He described the moment:

“And in walks this beautiful Italian dish. Her name is Porscha… She comes up, gives me the warmest hug… She gives me a big kiss on the cheek.”

Big Ed mentioned that they “hit it off”immediately and felt significant chemistry. Although he didn’t have a ring with him at that moment, a friend encouraged him to propose, leading him to kneel down and create a memorable scene that had everyone at the restaurant “freaking out.”

In a humorous twist, Big Ed revealed that he proposed to Raemond using a paper clip ring provided by the restaurant manager. He reassured fans that he intended to purchase her a quality engagement ring, comparable to one from Tiffany & Co.

Despite the whirlwind nature of the proposal, Big Ed emphasized his desire to proceed slowly in relationships moving forward.
