On a sunny day last weekend, Caroline Wozniacki decided to take her children Olivia and James to the park for some outdoor fun.
Despite starting her match against Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalinina with a positive note, Wozniacki was unable to maintain her lead and ultimately lost in the second round of the 2024 Miami Open. Despite winning the opening set, Kalinina fought back and ultimately defeated Wozniacki 5-7, 7-5, 6-4.
Despite being defeated by Johanna Konta in the 2017 Miami Gardens event, Wozniacki’s 13th appearance at the tournament since turning pro in 2005 was marked by a strong start, as she defeated France’s Clara Burel in the opening round.
Following her most recent departure, Wozniacki has shifted her focus towards her children. She is currently married to former NBA player David Lee and together they have been blessed with a two-year-old daughter named Olivia and a one-year-old son named James.
Wozniacki frequently features both Olivia and James in her social media updates. Most recently, the tennis star shared a post on Instagram showcasing the siblings having a great time on the slides at a park. She first shared a video of the two siblings sliding down a playground slide.
Wozniacki requested that the netizens enable the sound on their devices while watching the video, in order to hear Olivia and James laughing.
“I love their love! Sound on,”she captioned the video.
The 33-year-old later shared endearing photos of James and Olivia individually.
Caroline Wozniacki on Balancing Training and Family Life
Despite quitting tennis in January 2020 to begin a family with David Lee, Caroline Wozniacki returned to the WTA Tour in August 2023 and has been competing since.
Despite a four-year absence, she made her comeback at the Australian Open this season, but was only able to advance to the second round.
Spectacularly, she had traveled to the Joyful Tournament with her husband Lee and her children Olivia and James. During a media briefing while in Melbourne, she briefly discussed her daily routine with her children present.
“I travel with my kids everywhere. They’re at an age where you can move them around. It’s a lot of fun to be able to share these memories with them. I like to train early, so when I have a practice day, I practice early, then I have the afternoon with them [Olivia and James],”Caroline Wozniacki said.
Caroline Wozniacki’s only victory in a Grand Slam tournament was particularly memorable as she won the Australian Open in 2018.
