“I love Garrison”: Sister Wives Hunter Brown honors late brother Garrison Brown in emotional post
Janelle Brown’s son Garrison Brown tragically passed away last month, and his brother Hunter recently took to Instagram to honor his memory. On March 6, 2024, Janelle confirmed Garrison’s death through social media, and the Flagstaff Police Department reported that it appeared to be a case of suicide.
Hunter’s Instagram post included several photos, beginning with a snapshot from Garrison Brown’s funeral and then showcasing their memories together throughout the years. It also featured a childhood picture of the two and a second one of them posing in an outdoor setting.
Hunter began by incorporating a line from a poem, which reads, “When tomorrow begins without me…”He then elaborated:
“I have no eulogy to give or long caption for you to read. All I can say is that I love Garrison and he has always been and will always be a huge part of my life. I will forever work at being better at enjoying every moment, big or small, with my loved ones. I would encourage you to do the same!”
Janelle Brown commended the tribute in the comments section, while others shared their sadness over Garrison’s passing. Some even recounted their own experiences with similar losses.
Garrison Brown’s Legacy: Remembering His Life and the Impact He Made
Despite the show airing for eighteen seasons, Garrison Brown, along with the rest of his family, was frequently featured on Sister Wives on TLC. However, after it went off air, it has recently been announced that the show is returning for a nineteenth season. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Janelle, Garrison’s mother, shared the news of her son’s passing.
According to a statement from Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department, Garrison was discovered deceased on March 5, 2024, and no indications of criminal activity were found.
Janelle shared photos of her son on Instagram, one of which showed him dressed in a military uniform. In her caption, she referred to Garrison as a source of joy for those who know him and described him as a “bright spot”in their lives. She went on to say:
“His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
In addition to Garrison, Janelle also had five other children during her marriage to Kody Brown. However, the couple separated in December 2022 and Janelle can be seen discussing their split in a preview for an upcoming Sister Wives special.
Mykelti Brown, another member of the Brown family, shared a tribute on her Instagram page as well. She included two quotes by Katie Kacvinsky and C.S. Lewis and expressed her heartbreak over the loss of her brother, Garrison Brown. Mykelti also fondly remembered Garrison as the “funniest person in the room.”She continued by saying:
“He was one cool dude and I cry so much because my kids will never be able to experience his fun presence. But he will live on in all my families memories. Have fun up with the stars little bro, you’re missed.”
Janelle Brown Honors Her Son’s Memory Through Meaningful Traditions
After the unexpected passing of Garrison Brown, Janelle has recently posted additional content on her Instagram account. Among these posts is a photo featuring the entire Brown family posing together. In the caption, Janelle disclosed that the picture was taken during last year’s Christmas celebration and organizing a gathering proved to be a challenge due to their hectic schedules.
Janelle posted again, this time sharing photos of the cats that Garrison had adopted from High Country Humane and Ark Cat Sanctuary. She also included a written message alongside the pictures.
“The cats he adopted from both agencies were so important to him. He loved being a cat dad.”
The National Guard Unit honored Garrison with a celebration of his life on March 31, 2024. Janelle shared some highlights from the event, expressing gratitude for the continuous support she has received from everyone.
In 2015, Garrison Brown attended the College of Southern Nevada and then joined the Nevada Army National Guard. He also created an online clothing store, Bob’s Floral, which featured a wide selection of shirts.
