“I hope your ACL tears” – New York Knicks fans chew out Heat forward after dismal Julius Randle injury update
The recent announcement regarding sidelined All-Star forward Julius Randle has caused discontent among New York Knicks fans. The team revealed that Randle will be undergoing shoulder surgery and will not be able to play for the rest of the season. This news was met with frustration and some fans immediately sought to assign blame.
The event that led to Randle’s injury, which ended his season, took place during the Knicks’ match against the Miami Heat on January 27. During the fourth quarter, with New York in a dominant 115-98 lead, Randle received a pass from Josh Hart and attempted a layup. However, a collision with Heat rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. caused Randle to fall awkwardly and dislocate his right shoulder. As a result, he was immediately taken out of the game while the Knicks’ medical team worked to address the injury.
Despite this, Randle has yet to make an appearance in an NBA game, including the 2024 All-Star Game in Indiana. Currently, Knicks fans are directing their attention towards Miami’s rookie after he shared a photo of himself on his Instagram account.
Despite their frustration, fans have chosen to direct their criticisms towards Jaquez, bombarding his Instagram account with negative comments. Here are a few examples of the messages they have sent to him.

Despite Julius Randle’s Efforts, New York Knicks Fall Short in Comeback Attempt
Randle has faced numerous challenges during his journey, feeling helpless in his current circumstances. However, despite this, the All-Star forward for the New York Knicks has persevered in his efforts to recover and make a comeback to the court this season.
“I want everyone to know that I did everything in my power to get back this season,”Randle said in a recent interview. “That was my intention, to be playing right now.”
According to Randle, the only available course of action to prepare for his comeback was surgery. His shoulder’s status and readiness for the next season will be re-evaluated after five months, as per the surgery.
