“I hope I can be there too” – Former ONE featherweight kickboxing king Superbon eyes ONE Championship’s US show

Superbon is excited to secure a spot for himself in one of ONE Championship’s upcoming live events in the US this year.

The former ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion and renowned pound-for-pound kickboxer has long been eager to showcase his dynamic fighting style in North America. This desire intensified with the announcement of ONE 168 and ONE 170, scheduled for September and November, marking the promotion’s return to the United States.

Superbon, in an interview with MMA India, expressed his desire to be a part of one of the upcoming cards, with his main focus on ONE 168: Denver. This event will showcase two of his fellow countrymen in a series of exciting champion vs. champion matches.

The individual, who is 33 years old, stated:

“That card looks very exciting for me, that one in September. I hope I can be there too, fighting on the card.”

Two five-round barnburners have been confirmed by the world’s largest martial arts organization for ONE 168, which will take place next week.

Stamp Fairtex will be moving up a division to challenge Xiong Jing Nan for the ONE strawweight MMA world title, earning the opportunity to become a two-division MMA champion. Additionally, Superlek Kiatmoo9 will have the chance to become a two-sport world champion as he takes on Jonathan Haggerty for the bantamweight Muay Thai title.

All four athletes, who are widely considered the best in their respective fields, are about to enter Denver’s Ball Arena with their remarkable winning streak on the line.

Denver’s ONE 168 event is scheduled for a live broadcast on Friday, September 6. General public ticket sales for the show will begin at 10am MT on Wednesday, April 24, through Ticketmaster. Additionally, ONE 170 will also be broadcast live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Friday, November 8, and both events will air during U.S. primetime.

Superbon secures potential spot on ONE’s US events with victory at ONE Friday Fights 58

If Superbon wins the interim featherweight kickboxing world title against Marat Grigorian at ONE Friday Fights 58 this Friday, April 5, he will have the opportunity to compete in ONE Championship’s live US shows. The event can be watched live via pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com.

A win would secure a unification fight against Chingiz Allazov, and with their status as the top kickboxers in the world currently, it is highly likely that a potential rematch between them would take place in North America.

The Superbon Training Camp founder was dethroned by Allazov at ONE Fight Night 6 in January last year. He now has the perfect opportunity to seek retribution at either ONE 168 or ONE 170, the biggest stages available.
