“I have no worries” – Marat Grigorian says recovery will be key in grudge match with Superbon
Marat Grigorian, a former world champion in Glory Kickboxing, has faith in his ability to defeat Superbon as long as he can quickly recover between rounds.
In 2018, Superbon and Grigorian had their debut match at Kunlun Fight 69 – World MAX in Guiyang, China. During the fight, Grigorian made a memorable achievement by defeating Superbon in just 29 seconds. However, Superbon ultimately went on to reign over the ONE featherweight kickboxing division.
Superbon, determined to avenge his previous loss, defended his featherweight world title against Grigorian at ONE X. After a hard-fought rematch, the Thai champion emerged victorious by unanimous decision, setting the stage for a highly anticipated grudge match in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 58.
During his interview with Sportsmanor, Grigorian shared his thoughts on his upcoming fight against Superbon for the interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world title.
“I’m just focusing to make everything perfect. If I can recover fast on that day [in between rounds], I have no worries about that fight.”
On April 5, ONE Friday Fights 58 will be broadcasted live from the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Viewers can watch the event through pay-per-view on watch.onefc.com.
