“I Don’t See That Ending Well for the Man” — DaBaby Claims DaniLeigh’s Brother’s $4 Million Lawsuit is the “Easiest Case” to Win

“I Don’t See That Ending Well for the Man” — DaBaby Claims DaniLeigh’s Brother’s $4 Million Lawsuit is the “Easiest Case” to Win

Recently, DaBaby addressed the $4 million assault lawsuit filed against him by Brandon Bills, the brother of his ex-girlfriend DaniLeigh. This lawsuit was initiated by Bills in 2022, shortly after a physical confrontation with DaBaby and his entourage in a Los Angeles bowling alley that occurred in February of that year.

During an interview on October 9, 2024, with Bootleg Kev, the topic of the ongoing lawsuit came up. Initially, DaBaby feigned ignorance about the situation. However, when Kev mentioned that Bills had made threats online, DaBaby expressed skepticism about the lawsuit’s outcome, asserting that it wouldn’t bode well for Bills.

Defending his actions during the altercation as self-defense, DaBaby characterized the lawsuit as “the easiest case”to win and insinuated that Bills would likely end up paying his legal expenses as well.

“I don’t see that going well for the man. Threatening me on camera with all the different platforms out here. It just don’t make sense. You going to have to pay them lawyer fees, my boy. They gon’ make you pay them too, they ain’t making me pay. That’s going to be the easiest case I ever had to beat,” he remarked.

Fans speculate the altercation stemmed from DaniLeigh

In February 2022, social media circulated videos depicting the physical scuffle between Brandon Bills and DaBaby. As reported by XXL Magazine, footage revealed DaBaby striking first, with additional clips showing other men joining him in the attack on Bills.

While the root cause of the conflict remains unclear, many speculate it was connected to a public dispute between DaBaby and DaniLeigh that took place on Instagram Live in November 2021. The couple, who share a three-year-old daughter, became embroiled in a heated argument that drew significant attention.

During this incident, DaBaby accused DaniLeigh of assaulting him, which led to her being charged with two counts of assault. Following this altercation, Brandon Bills issued a challenge to DaBaby for a one-on-one confrontation if they ever crossed paths.

“So this what you wanna do? This where you wanna take it? This crazy. This n****a wanna call the cops on my sis. This n****a wanna disrespect my sister online for the world to see, disrespect my family…This don’t even got nothing to do with my sister no more, bro. This gotta do with me and you…’cause you’re Mr. Tough Guy over here, beating up b***hes. Knocking little guys out here and there. You’re not gonna do that to me,”Bills stated at the time.

DaBaby hints at the lawsuit in a recent diss track

Following the confrontation at the bowling alley, Brandon Bills filed a lawsuit seeking damages for both “physical and psychological damage.”A recent update to the lawsuit revealed that he is now asking for $2 million in general damages and an additional $2 million in special damages, totaling $4 million.

In April 2024, it was reported by Radar Online that Bills had hired a private investigator in an attempt to serve DaBaby with the lawsuit, although these efforts were unsuccessful. He subsequently requested the court’s permission to publish the lawsuit in a newspaper, a request that was granted.

In August 2024, DaBaby seemed to allude to the lawsuit in a diss track titled “Lawsuit On A Wednesday.”While he did not mention Bills by name, many listeners interpreted the lyrics as veiled references to him.

“He was gangsta before, now you suin’ me, huh? / That tough s***, he don’t wanna do it no more / Out the spot, ain’t want nothin’ to do wit’ the wh**e,” the rapper raps in the chorus.

In addition to pursuing action against DaBaby, Brandon Bills has also filed a lawsuit against Corbin Bowls, the bowling venue, asserting that they failed to protect him adequately as a customer.
