“I Can’t Look Like an Alliance Breaker” — The Circle Contestant Gianna Battles Kevin to Save Jadejha

Season 7 of The Circle made its return to Netflix with episodes 9-12 premiering on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Following the unexpected elimination of Darian in episode 9, the contestants began to explore connections with other players, aiming to solidify their alliances. They understood the importance of avoiding low ratings to prolong their time in the competition.

In episode 10, titled A Circle Trilogy, Kevin and the Scarlotta twins, who were catfishing as Gianna, emerged as the influencers for the third time this season. This powerful position allowed them to block one player from the game. However, the influencers found themselves at odds regarding their final decision. Gianna advocated for blocking Garret, while Kevin argued for targeting Gianna’s ally, Jadejha, whom he saw as a more significant threat.

“Great point, but for my sake and the sake of our alliance, I can’t look like an alliance breaker. Jadejha will be powerless once Garret is gone. If necessary, I’ll vouch for you, no questions,”Gianna stated.

In a previous discussion among The Circle influencers, they had earlier resolved to first target Garret and subsequently Jadejha. With Garret out of the equation, they believed Jadejha would feel trapped, presenting them with the best chance to take her down. Nonetheless, upon discovering that Garret had received the lowest rating, Kevin began to question whether blocking him would really make a difference.

The Circle’s Kevin Set on Eliminating Jadejha

During a dialogue in episode 10, Kevin and Gianna reaffirmed their initial target, Garret, believing it would weaken Jadejha’s chances. After Darian’s exit in the previous episode, Garret stood as Jadejha’s only ally. Blocking Garret would effectively be a two-birds-one-stone scenario. As a result, Gianna decided to remove Tierra from her considerations. Eventually, they were left with the decision involving Jadejha and Garret. Kevin knew that eliminating Garret wouldn’t shift the game’s dynamics. Thus, he declared:

“I understand you have an alliance with Jadeja. However, Garret was last in the ratings and poses no threat. Period. She [Jadejha] has a target on my back and simply put, she’s a #BiggerThreat.”

Gianna conceded that Garret was “not a threat and powerless,”but she feared that breaking her alliance with Jadejha could backfire on her. Kevin expressed disappointment, stressing that this could be their “last chance to make a power move.”He even offered to take responsibility for the elimination, but Gianna stood firm.

“I CANNOT break my word. #ItsGarretForMe,”Gianna stated resolutely.

After considerable discussion, the influencers reached a decision, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger as episode 11 culminated in Garret being blocked from the competition. Gianna noted that such decisions were part of the game strategy, and tough calls had to be made for their advantage.
