j-hope completed his military service on October 17, 2024, marking him as the second BTS member to do so, following Jin, who was discharged earlier on June 12, 2024.
In the Recent Episode of KStar Next Door, BTS’ Jin Discusses His Military Fame
The episode commenced with Jonathan expressing his earnest desire to welcome the BigHit Music group on his show.
When discussing BTS’s worldwide fame and their monumental achievements, Jin acknowledged their success, citing their performances across the globe. The host went on to enumerate BTS’s remarkable milestones, including their numerous Guinness World Records and the fact that they possess six music videos on YouTube with over a billion views each.
Jin was taken aback, admitting that he had not been aware of the impressive performance of their music videos. The host further probed when the singer of “Epiphany”realized his own fame after the group’s debut. Jin responded:
“I never really felt that before. We got to stand where we are today after doing our best every day. The thought of ‘We made it’ never occurred to me before.”
When asked about his popularity during his military service, Jin emphasized that he never reprimanded his fellow soldiers or juniors.
“I never scolded them [junior soldiers]. Even though I’ve been in this field for over 10 years, there’s so much I don’t know. So I don’t understand why people scold others just because they don’t know something. If they don’t know, just teach them again. And it’s okay not to know because sometimes I forget too. That was my belief,” Jin stated.
Furthermore, Jin also spoke fondly of his friendship with renowned Korean chef Baek Jong-won, who served as a judge on Culinary Class Wars.
As the episode drew to a close, BTS’ Jin showcased a live performance of his latest pre-release track from the upcoming HAPPY album, titled “I’ll Be There.”
In addition to this, Jin made an appearance on yet another talk show, Salon Drip 2. A teaser for this upcoming episode was released on October 22, 2024, with the full episode set to premiere on the official YouTube channel of TEO Universe (@TEO_universe) on November 5, 2024.
