Keep in mind, exploration is vital. Progression halts if you remain stationary without gathering resources, crafting equipment, or expanding your adventure.

Crafting Essential Tools

Your primary goal should be to craft a set of simple tools and weapons. Instead of pushing your way through trees and rocks, focus on collecting Sticks and Rubble. These items can be fashioned into basic equipment, suitable for resource gathering and self-defense.

Sticks can be found in grass or by breaking slender trees, while Rubble lies atop rocks or along the ground. Once you’ve gathered enough materials, press the Tab key to access your inventory and the Crafting Menu, where you can create your initial tools. Afterward, resume collecting resources to prepare for your future shelter.

Constructing Your First Shelter

When constructing your first shelter, it doesn’t need to be extravagant, but you should ensure there’s ample room for:

A bed or bedroll
Up to 12 crafting stations
5-6 large storage chests

A farm at your base is essential for growing food and harvesting Essences of Life. While exploring, keep an eye out for equipment or random weapons dropped by monsters—some may surpass your current gear. For instance, Outlanders in tundra areas can drop Doomed Outlander weapons, offering enticing upgrades (pending full implementation).

Constructing the Ancient Gateway
