Hyper Light Breaker Guide: Reviving Your Friends in Gameplay

Hyper Light Breaker presents a challenging landscape filled with dangers at every turn as you navigate through the Overgrowth. While teaming up with friends in co-op mode can ease some of that pressure, a single misstep can swiftly push you back to the Cursed Outpost, necessitating a restart of your run.

Solo players face significant hurdles, as one death means starting over with no chance for revival. However, those playing alongside teammates have a lifeline; an ally can revive them, allowing them to continue their adventure. Below, we delve into the mechanics of reviving friends in Hyper Light Breaker to ensure your team can push forward through the Overgrowth.

Revival Methods in Hyper Light Breaker

Reviving fallen teammates in Hyper Light Breaker is quite straightforward, with two primary methods available based on your situation in the Overgrowth. The first and most accessible method involves utilizing the Shrines scattered throughout the map.

These Shrines act as respawn points within the same Rez cycle, offering players the chance to acquire new Medkits and replenish their stock. If a teammate has perished while you’re at a Shrine, you’ll be prompted to revive them in exchange for Bright Bloods.

Fortunately, collecting Bright Blood is relatively easy, and the cost for initial revivals is set at just 100 Bright Blood, minimizing the impact on your gathered resources. However, if you attempt subsequent revivals at the same Shrine, the cost will increase, so plan accordingly.

The alternative revival option is through Medkits. These resources are vital, and during the early stages of the game, players typically have access to just one Medkit. Consequently, if your teammate falls while in the Overgrowth, it’s advisable to save the Medkit for when you reach a Shrine.

During a Crown Boss encounter, your options change; using a Medkit becomes the only method of revival since movement toward a Shrine is prohibited while the boss battle is active. If you possess an extra Medkit, approach your fallen ally and press the designated button to revive them, all while keeping an eye out for incoming attacks.

Reviving a teammate comes with risk; you cannot dodge or parry during the revival process, so ensure the boss is distracted. Hyper Light Breaker can rapidly become unforgiving without available Medkits, particularly in boss arenas where health preservation is critical. Always strive to keep a Medkit on hand before entering intense engagements to ensure both you and your allies are ready to fight.
