Playing Hyper Light Breaker with Friends
To team up with friends in Hyper Light Breaker, you’ll need to establish a Private multiplayer room. Begin by approaching the designated counter and pressing the Interact button (usually R1 or RB) to access the Multiplayer menu.
In the menu, you can choose to either “Create Breaker Team”or join an existing team. For a private gaming session, select “Create Breaker Team”. A new window will appear; make sure to toggle “Password Required”to “On”and enter your chosen password in the field provided. This feature accommodates groups of up to three players.
After creating your private Breaker Team, you can invite up to two friends via your platform’s social services, including PSN, Xbox, and Steam. Friends currently in the game will see your invitation in the “Invitations”tab of their Multiplayer menu. If they aren’t in the game, they can still join through the invitation link you send out.
Your team should also appear in the general list under “Join Breaker Team”if space allows for more players. In case the initial invitation doesn’t work, friends can manually browse the list to find and join your private group directly.
Once your friends accept the invitation, make sure to share the password you set up earlier, and you’re all set to embark on thrilling co-op runs together in Hyper Light Breaker!
Engaging in Random Online Matchmaking
If you’re eager to experience multiplayer action but lack friends who also play Hyper Light Breaker, the game’s matchmaking system facilitates the creation of public groups open to all players. Initiate your own public group following the same steps as for a private group but without setting a password. Alternatively, you can join a random group through the matchmaking feature.
To join a public group, navigate to the “Join Breaker Team”option in the Multiplayer menu located within the Cursed Outpost. Scroll to the bottom and select “Join Random Public Breaker Team”.
The game will automatically search for available, non-password-protected Breaker Teams. After a brief loading period, you will be transported into the world of your selected team leader, ready to engage in multiplayer gameplay.
Should you wish to leave a multiplayer session, return to the counter in the Cursed Outpost and access the multiplayer menu. If you are currently in a session, you will see an option to “Disconnect”from the current game, which takes you back to your own world. Another option is to simply quit the game to end any ongoing multiplayer session.
