HYBE’s Strategic Focus on the Latin American Market
HYBE has been actively working to enhance its presence in the Latin American region. In 2023, the company acquired Exile Music, a branch of the Spanish-language entertainment company Exile Content. Isaac Lee, who founded Exile Content, now serves as the chair of the HYBE Latin America board.
“This acquisition was a strategic move to boost our engagement in the Latin music industry,”stated HYBE.
As reported by Yonhap News Agency, HYBE perceives the Latin American music sector, valued at $1.3 billion in 2022, as a ripe area for growth, having increased by 26.4% from the previous year. This is a significant contrast to the global market, which experienced a modest growth of approximately nine percent during the same timeframe.
Festival Film Highlights
The festival will feature six musical events throughout the week, including “BTS Map of the Soul ON:E,”a two-day virtual concert held on October 10-11, 2020, during the pandemic.
SEVENTEEN’s “Be The Sun World Tour”marked a significant milestone as the group’s third world tour, where they notably performed at the Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome in Japan for the first time, as well as becoming the first K-pop act to take the stage at the Philippine Arena, the largest indoor venue globally.
TXT’s “ACT: Sweet Mirage”represents their second world tour in support of their fifth EP “The Name Chapter: Temptation,”spanning from March to December 2023, with 29 shows in total. ENHYPEN’s “FATE”tour, linked to the albums “Dark Blood”and “Orange Blood,”included 42 shows from July 2023 through September 2024.
Fans can expect various film screenings, with titles and showtimes possibly varying throughout the week.
