
The latest updates from HWInfo indicate a proactive move in support for next-generation processors from AMD and Intel. This announcement reveals significant enhancements that hardware enthusiasts should be aware of.
HWInfo v8.32: Enhanced Support for AMD Next-Gen, Nova Lake-S, and Radeon RX 7700
Historically, HWInfo has been at the forefront of hardware monitoring advancements, consistently integrating support for new CPU families. With the recent release of version 8.32, the tool now officially includes support for Intel’s Nova Lake-S and AMD’s upcoming platform innovations. Prior to this, pre-release version 8.31 marked the initial integration of these features, but the official rollout in v8.32 confirms their stability and functionality.

Focusing on AMD’s “Next-Gen”platforms, which are anticipated to include the 900-series motherboards, it is expected that these will launch alongside the much-anticipated Zen 6 desktop processors. Although these processors are not expected until the latter half of 2026, they will be compatible with the existing AM5 socket, paving the way for new chipset families such as X970/X970E, B950/B950E, and B940.
On the Intel side, the Nova Lake-S architecture will introduce the LGA 1954 socket, which is designed to support a greater core count, thus promising enhanced performance capabilities. This architecture is also predicted to arrive in the second half of 2026, making this a crucial period for PC enthusiasts looking to upgrade.
In addition, the AMD Radeon RX 7700 has received formal support through HWInfo’s latest iteration. This graphics card, which debuted last month, is built on the RDNA 3 architecture. As the more accessible variant to the RX 7700 XT, it features a reduced GPU die with 2560 shaders compared to its sibling’s 3456 shaders. Notably, the growing demand for GPUs with substantial VRAM led to the RX 7700 being equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit bus, enhancing its performance in high-demand scenarios.
