Details surrounding Huawei’s upcoming commercial device remain somewhat elusive. Yet, reports from Huawei Central suggest that the laptop will be part of the “Qingyun”lineup, which encompasses a variety of enterprise products including notebooks, desktops, and televisions. A noteworthy aspect of this laptop is its integration of DeepSeek technology, akin to features found in Microsoft’s Copilot+ certified devices. Huawei seems poised to capture the emerging AI PC trend, although it appears to be aimed specifically at the domestic market, which has led to increasing anticipation among consumers.
Notably, this laptop is touted to be completely constructed from Chinese-manufactured products, with the centerpiece being Huawei’s Kunpeng-920 CPU. This processor is structured on the ARMv8 architecture and is available in various core configurations, reaching up to 64 cores. Although primarily designed for server applications, Huawei has ingeniously tailored lower-core versions, including options with 4, 8, or 16 cores accessible for consumer use.
Furthermore, the device is expected to run a version of HarmonyOS specifically designed for PCs, complemented by DeepSeek functionality for edge AI capabilities. The performance metrics of Huawei’s new offering will undoubtedly be a focal point for users, especially given the company’s pivot towards developing its own products. While the official launch date is projected for April, confirmation is still pending.
