HP Unveils ZGX Nano G1n AI Workstation Featuring NVIDIA’s GB10 Superchip

HP has revealed an innovative compact workstation that harnesses the advanced AI functionalities provided by NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture-based GB10 superchip.

Introducing the HP ZGX Nano G1n: A Compact AI Workstation with Modern Connectivity

The recently unveiled HP ZGX Nano G1n represents one of the company’s most powerful compact workstations to date. While it shares a resemblance with the HP Z2 Mini G1a, the ZGX Nano G1n distinguishes itself with the robust performance made possible by the NVIDIA Blackwell GB10 superchip. This compact device measures just 150mm x 150mm x 51mm, promoting portability without compromising on computing strength, courtesy of its advanced System on Chip (SoC), which combines the capabilities of the Grace CPU with a Blackwell-based GPU.

The ZGX Nano G1n is not just a hardware marvel; it also comes equipped with the ZGX Toolkit, a comprehensive software stack. This AI workstation operates on NVIDIA’s AI Stack, also known as DGX OS, to facilitate a seamless development experience. Capable of delivering an impressive 1000 TOPS of AI compute performance, the workstation features a formidable GPU boasting 6, 144 CUDA cores paired with the latest 5th Gen Tensor Cores, optimizing performance for AI workloads. The system’s power is further enhanced through a chip-to-chip NVLink-C2C interconnect that efficiently links the 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU and the Blackwell GPU, ensuring top-tier power efficiency.

One of the standout features of the ZGX Nano G1n is its unified memory architecture, which incorporates a substantial 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory shared between the CPU and GPU. This design significantly mitigates memory bottlenecks, enhancing overall system performance. Furthermore, the workstation supports scalability through Interconnect technology, enabling users to connect two units via a 200 Gbps QSFP/ConnectX-7 interface. This feature effectively doubles performance capacity, making it an excellent choice for processing larger models.

From a connectivity standpoint, the ZGX Nano G1n impresses with its array of high-bandwidth ports, including USB Type-C 20 Gbps and a 10 Gbps Ethernet port, ensuring fast internet connectivity. Additionally, it is equipped with WiFi 7 for superior wireless performance and Bluetooth 5.4 for convenient connections with various wireless devices. For visual output, the workstation includes a single HDMI port, although specifics regarding the version remain unclear on the official site.

Reports indicate that the HP ZGX Nano G1n AI Station is set to launch this autumn, though the precise release date has yet to be confirmed.
