The application can also be programmed to delete old EXE, ZIP, and ISO files after a preset period, offering extensive customization to cater to your organizational needs.

Alternatively, you could utilize Microsoft’s Power Automate, which I’ve found effective for maintaining a clutter-free desktop.

The Set-It-and-Forget-It Approach
One of the standout features of File Juggler is its intuitive usability, catering to both tech-savvy users and novices alike. Establishing sorting rules is remarkably simple, eliminating the need for complex scripts or technical commands.
To implement a new rule, simply click the Add button, assign it a suitable name, and specify your Downloads folder for monitoring. Under the If section, you have the flexibility to define sorting parameters based on file type, size, creation date, and more. For example, you might choose to transfer all PDFs containing the word “invoice”to a dedicated folder. Alternatively, you could set rules for EXE files older than a week to streamline your storage further. The application’s versatility ensures that all your organizational needs are met.
Once your If condition is in place, the Then section allows you to dictate the specific action taken with those files—whether it’s moving them, copying them to another location, renaming, or deleting them. There’s even a safety net option to transfer files to the Recycle Bin instead of permanent deletion. Once everything is set up, simply click Save to activate your rule.
After you’ve devised a rule for one file type, duplicating and modifying it to suit other files is effortless. Although the initial setup might take some time, once complete, File Juggler assumes the responsibility of managing your downloads with no further intervention required.
