While navigating the challenges of Hyperspace Lumiose, players will encounter various Goals that reward Survey Points. One of these randomized objectives involves using the Capture Window, an essential mechanic in successfully capturing Pokemon.

The Capture Window refers to a brief moment when a wild Pokemon is vulnerable, which occurs immediately after it has been defeated in battle. This critical window is signified by twinkling stars surrounding the Pokemon’s head and typically lasts around 2.3 seconds.

To complete this objective, players should seize the opportunity to launch a Poke Ball during this fleeting moment. Generally, it requires successfully capturing between 3 to 5 Pokemon to earn between 600 and 1200 Survey Points.

To successfully throw a Poke Ball at a weakened Pokemon, players should hold the ZL button to aim at the target. Next, using the left stick, they need to select the desired Poke Ball and release ZR to throw. This precise aiming is crucial for maximizing capture chances.

Additionally, players will notice arrows beside the wild Pokemon’s health bar, indicating their chances of a successful capture. A greater number of arrows correlates with a higher likelihood of catching the Pokemon.

It’s important for trainers to also consider the bonus opportunity available when they throw a Poke Ball from behind the Pokemon while the Catch Window is open. Proper timing is essential here; failing to throw the ball quickly may result in missing the capture chance altogether.

Lastly, it’s noteworthy that Rogue Mega Evolved Pokemon encountered during Rift events possess a persistent Capture Window state once they are defeated, guaranteeing a successful capture upon throwing a Poke Ball.
