In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, enhancing your friendship levels with various Sanrio characters is vital for unlocking new quests and areas. Achieving this goal can lead to accessing zones that were previously unavailable, introducing additional resources, crafting plans, and recipes into your gameplay. One such resource, sakura, is exclusively found in the enchanting Merry Meadows. To access this area, players must complete one of the Island Adventure’s quests titled “Around the Island.”
How to Unlock Merry Meadows
Where to Find Merry Meadows

To enter the Merry Meadows area, players must first complete the quest titled “Curious Caverns.”The prerequisites for this quest include:
- “Dessert-ed Boat”(Pompompurin level 4)
- “Parched”(Requirements: Complete “Dessert-ed Boat, ””Meet the Island Beings, ”and “Open the Nature Preserve”)
- “Revive the Oasis”(My Melody level 11)
The primary challenge lies in reaching My Melody’s level 11. Ensure you have access to the Espresso Machine located in Comedy Hall at Rainbow Reef. With the right ingredients (Candelnut and Strawberry), you can craft a Pink Latte, which serves as a 2-heart gift for My Melody, making it an excellent choice to gain experience until you level up the ice cream machine at Pompompurin’s.
After achieving My Melody’s level 11, head to the Oasis on Gemstone Mountain to consult with Keroppi. Your task is to restore the water supply to a parched oasis by removing the blockage in the Crystal Caves. Successfully completing this quest rewards you with crafting plans for the Pickaxe.
Upon finishing “Revive the Oasis, ”you’ll unlock the “Curious Caverns“quest, granting access to Merry Meadow. The entrance can be found behind the waterfall south of Pompompurin’s boat, where you will need to utilize the pickaxe to break through a boulder.
Merry Meadow is divided into three distinct levels. Initially, you will only have access to the Meadow Fields, while unlocking higher areas requires a Giant Seed to cultivate a beanstalk vine.

Merry Meadows Fields

Fortunately, sakura blossoms can be found growing on the pink trees in the Merry Meadows Fields. You won’t need to wait for the initial beanstalk to start collecting these resources. Notably, collectible sakura are more intricately designed than their non-collectible counterparts and will be outlined in white when you approach, making them easier to identify like any other collectible resource in Island Adventure.
Additionally, you can have the Nul outside of My Melody’s store collect sakura on your behalf. Although this method may yield a larger quantity of sakura, keep in mind that you will have to wait a full day to retrieve them.
