Locating the Dapperwing in Monster Hunter Wilds

Dapperwings are small, vibrantly green birds resembling parrots and can be found within the Scarlet Forest biome. While they can appear throughout the woodland area, a reliable spot to find them is in Area 14 of the Scarlet Forest.

To maximize your hunting efficiency, head to the Southwest Pop-Up Camp located in Area 14. If you haven’t already, construct your camp with the assistance of the nearby Pop-Up Camp Meowster, then fast-travel to your chosen location.

From the Pop-Up Camp, gently descend the hill and turn to your left. You should soon stumble upon a crumbling wall that often serves as a perch for one or two Dapperwings.

Once you spot them, equip your Capture Net and approach cautiously to catch one of these charming birds. After successfully capturing a Dapperwing, return to Samin at the Plains Base Camp to claim your rewards.

If you’re having difficulty finding Dapperwings, consider resting at the Pop-Up Camp for a while until they reappear. Alternatively, explore the forest to find them perched on the trees. Notably, many players, including myself, have had success capturing Dapperwings during daylight hours in clear weather.
