How to get Onos in Warframe: Drop location, stats, and Incarnon talents
With the recent launch of the Dante Unbound update, there has been a growing excitement among players to acquire the Onos in Warframe. This formidable secondary weapon, attached to the wrist, is one of the newest additions to the Incarnon arsenal in Warframe – and it certainly packs a powerful punch. Luckily, players can farm Onos directly from the Armatus node in Deimos, and in case of unfavorable drop rates, there is a pity system in place to fall back on.
This article provides comprehensive information on obtaining Onos in Warframe, as well as recommendations for the most effective mods to use.
How long does it take to farm the Onos blueprint in Warframe?
The blueprint for Onos can be obtained from the Disruption node Armatus (Deimos), which was added in the Dante Unbound update. It is a Rotation B reward with a 5% drop chance for each successful B Rotation, and this drop chance remains the same on both the Steel Path and Bounty variants of the node.
Due to the rarity of Onos drops and the inclusion of Ruvox components and Void Relics in the loot pool, farming for this item can often be a time-consuming process. However, there is an alternative option available: the Onos blueprint can be purchased from Loid (Dante Research) for 360 Vessel Capillaries.
After obtaining the blueprint, the materials listed below are necessary for crafting Onos in Warframe:
- 20,000 Credits
- 3,000 Salvage
- 400 Necracoil
- 2x Argon Crystal
- 6x Entrati Lanthorn
Warframe: Onos Abilities and Evolution Talents
Onos functions as an automatic secondary weapon with a low fire rate and deals pure Puncture damage in its default mode. Its statistics are as follows:
- Damage: 200 (Puncture)
- Critical Chance: 26%
- Critical Multiplier: 2.4x
- Status Chance: 22%
- Fire Rate: 1.4
The Incarnon form adds complexity to Onos, making it one of the most intricate weapons in Warframe. In order to unleash a powerful blast of pure Heat damage in a wide area, the trigger must be held to charge up. Interestingly, this charging process also creates a growing orb that inflicts Radiation damage on nearby enemies.
- Incarnon mode comes with 350 ammo pool
- Fully charged shots consume approximately 58 ammo
- The charge-up rate is slow, making Fire Rate mods extremely important
- Fully charged shots have a high-status chance
Just like all other Incarnon weapons in Warframe, Onos also has a variety of ‘perks’ or Incarnon Evolution talents to choose from.
- Evolution I: Enables Incarnon form
- Evolution II: Marksman’s Hand (-30% weapon recoil), Rapid Wrath (+25% Fire Rate), Swift Deliverance (+30% Projectile Speed)
- Evolution III: Extended Volley (+10 Magazine Capacity), Rapid Reinforcement (+30% Reload Speed), Hunter’s Rearmament (On Kill: 10% chance to replenish 10 ammo)
- Evolution IV: Lethal Lance (On Kill: +2.5 Punch Through for 20 seconds), Incarnon Efficacy (Headshots build +50% more Incarnon Transmutation charge), Elemental Excess (+20% Status Chance; -10% Critical Chance)
- Evolution V: Sequential Skullbuster (On Consecutive Headshots: +30% Headshot Damage; stacks up to 4x), Impaler’s Ferocity (On Punch Through Hit: +10% Damage for 10 seconds; stacks up to 10x), Devastation Cascade (Hitting Enemies in Incarnon Form increases Critical Chance and Critical Damage of the fully charged blast by 5%; stacks up to 50%)
