Mojang Studios has just unveiled three fresh enchantments for the exclusive use of the new mace weapon in the latest Minecraft 1.21 update. Initially, the developers had not included any enchantments for the mace and players were unable to apply any existing ones. However, it is now possible to add various enchantments, including the newly introduced Density enchantment.
This is a brief guide on how to obtain and utilize the density enchantment.
Acquiring the Density Enchantment in Minecraft
Density is a frequently occurring enchantment in Minecraft. Therefore, it can be readily obtained from both enchanting tables and loot books.
To obtain the latest enchantment from the enchanting table, the mace must first be crafted and then placed on the table. The mace can be created by using breeze rods and a heavy core, which can be acquired by defeating breeze mobs and looting a vault in the trial chambers.
Both the enchanting table and book offer five power levels for the density enchantment.
To achieve density in an enchanting book, simply place the mace and book together on an anvil to activate the powerup.
Steps for Utilizing Density Enchantment in Minecraft
Prior to delving into the effects of the new density enchantment, it is crucial to understand the distinctive damage mechanics of the mace.
Despite dealing critical damage when falling from a few blocks, most melee weapons have a limited damage multiplier when falling from a high place. This limitation does not apply to the mace, as its attack damage actually increases with greater fall height. This means that you can confidently jump off a high place and deliver a powerful blow to any entity.
Regarding the density enchantment, this unique powerup specifically enhances the weapon’s ability to cause fall damage per block. In other words, when falling from blocks, you can inflict more damage on your opponent.
A higher enchantment level results in a one-point increase in damage per fallen block. Therefore, obtaining a Level 5 density enchantment can raise the mace’s attack damage per fallen block by five.
