Horizon Forbidden West PC Patch 1.0.43.0 Enables DLSS 3 Frame Generation in Cut Scenes, and More

Guerrilla Games and Nixxes have released patch 1.0.43.0 for Horizon Forbidden West on PC, which introduces DLSS 3 Frame Generation during cutscenes and also addresses various bugs.

The Horizon Zero Dawn sequel was launched on PC last week, and Nixxes, the porting studio, has done an exceptional job in bringing this former PlayStation exclusive to the computer. Just one week later, the development team has released a new patch for the game, which includes fixes for crashes, bugs, and other improvements. Along with resolving several crashing issues, this update also addresses a problem that prevented players from claiming rewards at the Hunting Grounds while using a mouse. Additionally, an issue with the HDR Max Luminance slider has been fixed. Fortunately, Horizon Forbidden West continues the trend of high-quality PC ports from the skilled studio located in Utrecht. As with previous Sony ports, the game offers a wide range of features, including Ultrawide support (21:9 and 32:9), NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation, NVIDIA Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing, NVIDIA Reflex, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, Microsoft DirectStorage, and full compatibility with the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and built-in speaker.

The High Dynamic Range implementation is satisfactory, except for the fact that the main slider for setting the display’s Max Luminance is currently non-functional. Nevertheless, the sliders for Paper White, Shadow Boost, and Highlight Boost are operational and offer more options than the average PC game for adjusting the HDR experience.
