Honor X8 is a new mid-range model with Snapdragon 680 chipset.

Chinese smartphone giant Honor has announced a new mid-range model in the Middle East market known as the Honor X8. While this device is similar in many ways to the design of the Honor X30i that was recently announced in the Chinese market, it actually comes with a completely different set of specs.

Starting from the front of the phone, the new Honor X8 features a 6.7-inch LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, it features a 16MP front-facing camera housed in the center hole-punch cutout.

In the imaging department, the Honor X8 relies on a triple-camera system on the back, led by a 64-megapixel main camera. This will be aided by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, as well as a pair of 2-megapixel cameras for close-ups and portraits.

Under the hood, the Honor X8 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset, which will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in the storage department. Like most other recent smartphones, the phone also uses smart memory expansion technology that adds an additional 2GB of virtual memory to the existing RAM.

To keep the lights on, the Honor X8 packs a decent 4,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. In terms of software, it will be covered by Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11 out of the box.

For those who are curious, the Honor X8 is available in three colors such as Titanium Silver, Midnight Black and Ocean Blue. As of now, Honor has yet to announce the availability and price of the phone. However, we can very well expect to learn more about them in the coming days.
