Following the launch of Honkai Star Rail version 2.6, the Light Cone Quid Pro Quo has been exhibiting unexpected effects, delivering abnormal buffs to player parties. Initially, gamers praised HoYoverse, the development team, believing this was an intended enhancement. However, the developers clarified that this anomaly is actually a bug and will be rectified in an upcoming patch.
This article will explore the nature of the abnormal buff associated with Quid Pro Quo and its implications on character performance.
HoYoverse to Address Unintended Buff for Quid Pro Quo in Honkai Star Rail
As previously mentioned, the unintended buff to Quid Pro Quo emerged with the rollout of Honkai Star Rail version 2.6. This buff primarily influenced Abundance characters, with Huohuo being the most significantly affected. According to the Light Cone’s unique effects, it normally provides a substantial amount of Energy regeneration to party allies, excluding the user. However, due to this unexpected buff, the user is now also able to benefit from these effects, leading to enhanced Energy regeneration.
Upon this discovery, players mistakenly interpreted the adjustment as a secret improvement, considering Honkai Star Rail version 2.6 patch notes didn’t indicate any changes. Recently, HoYoverse confirmed that the buff was unintentional, and the functionality of Quid Pro Quo would revert to its original design in the next update. Until this fix is implemented, players can continue utilizing the Light Cone and enjoy the unforeseen advantages it provides.
In addition to Huohuo, the character Gallagher can also wield this Light Cone, gaining additional Energy benefits from its unique attributes. However, the probability of activating the buff has decreased from 0.33% to 0.25%, making it slightly more challenging for players to enhance their desired character effectively. This change represents both a boost for the Light Cone itself while also translating into an indirect nerf.
According to HoYoverse, this situation is recognized as a bug that will be addressed shortly. It remains unclear whether players will receive compensation, such as Stellar Jades, once the patch is released. Given that HoYoverse typically offers compensation for significant bugs, the gaming community is left waiting for further announcements.
