Honkai Star Rail 3.1 Leaks: Pre-Farming Mydei’s Upgrade Materials

According to insider information, players eager to recruit Mydei in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 can commence their pre-farming efforts for the character’s materials now. This proactive approach allows them to be on the cusp of fully maximizing Mydei’s level and abilities upon the update’s launch. Currently, the game is in Version 3.0, which introduces players to Amphoreus, yet Version 3.1 is anticipated to arrive in a few weeks. HoYoverse has already confirmed that Mydei, along with Tribbie, will be part of the upcoming release.

While formal announcements are limited, beta testing for Version 3.1 is already in progress, leading to a flurry of new leaks. These leaks provide insight into Tribbie and Mydei’s potential gameplay mechanics. Notably, it has been disclosed that Mydei will be a 5-star Imaginary character on the Path of Destruction. According to the leaks, Mydei’s gameplay will allow him to consume HP to boost his damage output. However, players will first need to Ascend him, necessitating the collection of specific materials.

The ongoing beta tests have unveiled a comprehensive list of materials required for Mydei’s Ascension and Trace-leveling. As detailed on Honey Hunter World, the materials are meticulously listed by quantity and intended usage. Surprisingly, most of what Mydei will need can already be prepared in advance, with several items available prior to Version 3.0’s launch. For instance, players may already possess Borisin Teeth, a frequent resource among characters like Yunli and Firefly.

Conversely, some materials are new to Version 3.0, meaning that veteran players might have limited stockpiles. Pre-farming Mydei’s materials could prove challenging, as certain resources are exclusive to Amphoreus. Furthermore, one critical item cannot be obtained until Version 3.1 is live, which might delay progress but also allows for some preparation ahead of Mydei’s official debut.

Strategies for Pre-Farming Mydei’s Materials

Explore Multiple Locations for Farming

The initial materials necessary for Mydei include Fear-Stomped Flesh, Courage-Torn Chest, and Glory-Aspersed Torso, which share a categorization based on rarity. To optimally farm these items, players should target Titankin in Amphoreus, with additional Fear-Stomped Flesh being purchasable from Ember’s Exchange. Players familiar with Aglaea’s materials will recognize these farming locations.

These materials can also be acquired from enemies encountered in the Simulated Universe, as well as through Assignment rewards. The leaks emphasize that these items are essential for both Mydei’s Ascension and Trace-leveling, indicating a substantial quantity will be necessary, resulting in considerable farming efforts. Alongside the previously mentioned items, players will require Harbinger of Strife for Ascension, which isn’t obtainable in Version 3.0 and will only be introduced in 3.1.

Utilizing the Omni-Synthesizer is advisable for converting lower-grade materials into rarer ones needed for Mydei’s kit. Notably, the Harbinger of Strife is expected to drop from a new Stagnant Shadow activity that is not yet available. Furthermore, players should prepare to allocate substantial resources, with Mydei’s Ascension reportedly costing approximately 308,000 Credits, not including an estimated 508,000 Credits for leveling with Character EXP Materials. Engaging in the Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures activities is the most effective method for accumulating Credits.

As per leaks, fully upgrading all of Mydei’s Traces will demand an additional 3,000,000 Credits, underscoring the necessity for strategic farming. Ideally, this preparation will streamline the leveling process once Mydei joins the roster.

The leaks also indicate that Mydei’s Traces will utilize Borisin Teeth, Lupitoxin Sawteeth, and Moon Rage Fang, all of which can be farmed at the Calyx (Crimson): Bud of Destruction activity in the Scalegorge Waterscape map of Xianzhou Luofu. Given their shared classification, employing the Omni-Synthesizer will be beneficial.

For weekly boss materials, players will need to acquire Auspice Sliver, dropped by the Shadow of Feixiao in the Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield on the Skysplitter map of Xianzhou Luofu. Although only 12 copies are required, these can only be farmed weekly, making early efforts critical for Mydei’s release. Players who have previously farmed for Feixiao may already be familiar with the process.

Finally, Mydei will also require eight Tracks of Destiny for his high-level Traces, a rare item obtainable once a week from the Simulated Universe and also available through some limited-time rewards and various exchanges.

As suggested by the leaks, pre-farming a majority of Mydei’s materials should be relatively straightforward, significantly easing the progress of building his character. Post-launch in Version 3.1, players will primarily need to focus on acquiring the rumored Harbinger of Strife, likely obtainable through the new Stagnant Shadow challenges. By conserving Trailblaze Power, players may be able to gather all required resources swiftly.

However, it’s wise to recognize that the material list stems from leaks, potentially leading to some misalignment as HoYoverse occasionally adjusts requirements. Players should be prepared for the possibility that certain materials, such as Auspice Sliver, may not be in demand by the time Mydei arrives. Nonetheless, pre-farming remains a prudent strategy, especially considering that recent Honkai: Star Rail leaks from beta tests have proven to be reliable.
