The Honkai series is marking a significant year with the exciting Star Rail x Impact 3rd collaboration, and this latest game reveal in China could lead to yet another triumph for HoYoverse.

The announcement for this new Honkai game was shared by X users Star Rail Universe (@StarRailVerse1) and Mello (@to_mmo2), exclusively on Chinese social media platforms. Here’s what we know so far about this new Honkai title from the creators of Genshin Impact, which may soon get an official reveal.

HoYoverse has released official artwork for its latest project set in the Honkai universe. Shared by multiple users on X, it appears this game will most likely be a CRPG that focuses on monster hunting and creature cultivation. This is suggested by the translated tags, which include:

The mention of Elf Cultivation hints at a gameplay mechanic allowing players to capture and breed a variety of creatures found in the wild, reminiscent of Nintendo’s Pokemon franchise or Pocketpair’s Palworld. Furthermore, the Elf component may connect to the Elf system featured in Honkai Impact 3rd, allowing Valkyries to have a small pet companion in combat arenas to assist them in battles.

The game is also set in an urban environment that reflects the style of Zenless Zone Zero.

While HoYoverse has yet to provide a global announcement for this project, there is speculation that more details could emerge during the upcoming major gaming event—The Game Awards 2024. We may also learn whether this title is linked to the rumored project Astaweave Haven or if it is an entirely different endeavor that the developers have been working on.
