Alma, the older sister of Holger Rune, recently sent birthday wishes to their father, Andres Nodskov.
Anders Nodskov, father of Holger Rune, is the CEO and founder of YachtZap, a boat rental service located in his home country.
On Thursday, April 4, Alma, the sister of Rune, shared a photograph of the two siblings and their father to celebrate his birthday. The photo captured the two as children, with a young Holger Rune being held by his father. Later in the day, the World No. 7 also posted the same image on his Instagram story.
The current World No. 7 has participated in a total of seven tournaments in the year 2024, securing 13 victories out of 20 matches. He made it to the final of the Brisbane International, but ultimately lost to Grigor Dimitrov. Additionally, Rune made it to the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and the semifinals of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco.
The last tournament the Dane participated in was the Miami Open, in which he experienced a disappointing defeat of 6-1, 6-1 in the second round against Fabian Marozsan.
Holger Rune to Take on the Monte-Carlo Masters Challenge
Holger Rune’s European clay-court season will commence at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
The Danish player advanced to the final of the Masters 1000 tournament in the previous year. He began his journey by overcoming Dominic Thiem in the second round and Matteo Berrettini in the third round.
During the quarterfinals, Rune emerged victorious against Daniil Medvedev and then narrowly defeated Jannik Sinner 1-6, 7-5, 7-5 in the semifinals, securing his spot in the final. In the final, he managed to win the opening set, but ultimately, the Russian fought back and beat him 5-7, 6-2, 7-5. Prior to his successful run to the final, Rune had faced early defeats in Monte-Carlo in 2021 and 2022, being eliminated in the first and second rounds respectively.
As the 2024 edition of the Monte-Carlo Masters approaches, Rune was spotted practicing with current World No. 1 Novak Djokovic. The Dane also shared pictures from their previous practice sessions before the tournament.

The Dane will continue his strong momentum into this year’s clay-court swing, following his standout performances in 2023. He made it to the finals of two Masters 1000 events in Monte-Carlo and Rome, and successfully defended his title at the BMW Championships in Munich. Additionally, he achieved a second consecutive quarterfinal appearance at the French Open.
