HMD Global started its journey to Android 12 in December with the Nokia X20. Later, a new update was released for Nokia X10, Nokia G50, Nokia XR20, Nokia 8.3 5G and Nokia 2.4. After five months of testing, HMD Global has started rolling out the Android 12 update to last year’s mid-range Nokia G20, but better late than never, right? The Android 12 firmware reaches the Nokia G20 with software version number V2.230 and weighs in at about 1.97GB. Yes, this is a big update compared to monthly security updates. At the time of writing, OTA is rolling out in European countries (currently Germany) and more rollout should be expected in the coming days. Some users have already received the new update, Markus Rapp received the new update and shared the details on the Nokia community forum. He confirmed that the new build contains the May 2022 security patch.

The wait has finally come to an end, if you are a Nokia G20 user, now you can update your smartphone to Android 12 OS.
