“He’s so legendary”: TXT reveals the back story of Tiktok challenges with BTS’ Jungkook

Consequence, a New York-based publication, released an exclusive interview video on their YouTube channel on April 2, 2024 with TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER). During the interview, the group shared the behind-the-scenes story of BTS’ Jungkook’s involvement in their TikTok challenges.

To commemorate the release of their new album, minisode 3: TOMORROW, the video ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER Experience Deja Vu Reacting to Old Photos and Videos’ was released.

After being questioned about the story behind their TikTok challenge with BTS’ Jungkook, titled ‘Chasing That Feeling,’ the members praised the idol for quickly mastering their choreography and referred to him as:

“Jungkook hyung learned the chores on the spot on that day, and he was already so perfect that we could just put him on stage right away. I thought again, He’s so legendary.”

The Name Chapter: Freefall marks the release of TXT’s fifth studio album, which was released on October 13, 2023, under Big Hit Music and Republic Records. The album includes ten tracks, including Chasing That Feeling and Happily Ever After. To promote their project, the group participated in various TikTok challenges and shared them on multiple social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, and others.

In the future, on October 14, 2023 and October 26, 2023, TXT will participate in TikTok challenges for their songs “Chasing That Feeling”and “Happily Ever After”with BTS’ Jungkook.

During an interview with Consequence, the members were asked about the backstory of the TikTok Happily Ever After challenge with BTS’ Jungkook. They shared that the idol brought an incredible amount of energy, estimated to be around 300%. They also mentioned how enjoyable and challenging the experience was, and added:

“We tend to be hyped up when we are filming “Happily Ever After”challenges, but Jungkook hyung brought up the energy level, not 100%, but 300%. We had a lot of fun filming.”

The members were later questioned about the origins of the Chasing That Feeling TikTok challenge. They responded by saying they had learned the choreography on the spot and were immediately impressed with the idol’s talent. TXT then praised Jungkook, stating:

“Jungkook hyung learned the chores on the spot on that day, and he was already so perfect that we could just put him on stage right away. I thought again, ‘He’s so legendary.’”

Before long, snippets from the interview showcasing TXT’s admiration for Jungkook’s exceptional dancing abilities quickly spread on social media. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement as they shared the members’ compliments and dubbed the Golden Maknae as the ‘Idol Hero.’ It was heartening for the fandom to discover that even younger idols still idolize Jungkook and view him as a legendary figure in the K-pop world.

At the same time, other questions were posed to the TXT members about their album, music festival experience, and more. When asked about their thoughts on the changes since recording minisode 1, the group replied:

“It’s about three years back that we released minisode 1: Blue Hour. It’s been a while, and back then, we were new to the scene and very youthful. Over those three years, I think we’ve become a lot more mature both emotionally and as artists. I believe we’ve come to be able to express a wide variety of emotions while recording. Also, our recording duration has become shorter.”

They further discussed the development between the albums and emphasized that the minisode albums serve as the crucial “bridge”linking the various chapters together.

Recently, on November 3, 2023, Big Hit Music released Golden, the solo debut album of BTS’ Jungkook. The album consisted of eleven tracks, with the leading single being Standing Next to You. Jungkook’s project also included collaborations with notable artists such as Jack Harlow, Latto, DJ Snake, Major Lazer, and more.

TXT, also known as TOMORROW X TOGETHER, is a boy band from South Korea formed by Big Hit Music under HYBE Corporation. The group is composed of five members: Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Soobin, Huening Kai, and Taehyun. They made their debut with their EP, The Dream Chapter: Star, on March 4, 2019.

In addition, they were the pioneering Korean boy band to lead the Lollapalooza USA music festival. Following the completion of five weeks of basic training, the idol was sent to the Fifth Infantry Division where they have been recently tasked with the role of a cook in the military.
