Nintendo Launches New Super Mario Merchandise for Kids

Nintendo has recently unveiled an exciting range of Super Mario-themed merchandise aimed at young audiences. Among the highlights is the “Hello Mario”Switch and mobile application, designed to provide an interactive experience reminiscent of the start menu from Super Mario 64. Users can engage with Mario’s animated facial expressions and reactions, enhancing the overall gameplay experience for little fans.

In addition to the digital app, the new product line includes two unique wooden block sets that double as both toys and amiibo figures. Scheduled for release in Japan on August 26, 2025, some of these merchandise items may not be available in the United States and other regions until 2026.

Exploring the Hello Mario App

Recent visuals shared in the Japanese announcement showcase the Hello Mario app’s visual style, which features a playful, 2D cartoonish version of Mario’s face. This app allows children to interact with Mario’s hands and even offer him items like the iconic mushroom, making for a dynamic and engaging experience. Notably, the app will be available for free, expanding access for young gamers.

My Mario Wood Block Sets

The My Mario wood block set collection features two options, catering to various play styles. The basic set is priced at ¥2, 980 (approximately $20), including a Mario block, a mushroom block, and a question block. The Mario block will function as an amiibo, allowing interaction within compatible games.

A more elaborate offering is the Mario and Friends Wood Block Set, priced at ¥19, 980 (around $135), which includes 30 blocks and a box that serves as a stage backdrop. This set features beloved characters such as Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi, with the Mario block being an exact replica of the one found in the smaller set, eliminating the need for purchasing both.

Additional Super Mario Merchandise

The recent announcement highlighted other exciting merchandise, including a ¥1, 870 (about $13) interactive picture book titled “Hello Mario”and complimentary “It’s Me, Mario!”stop-motion shorts. The Japanese site also showcased clothing and plush toys dedicated to young fans of the franchise.

This entire range of My Mario merchandise, including the Hello Mario Switch and mobile app, is set to launch in Japan on August 26, 2025, with select items expected to roll out globally in 2026.
