Developer Teases New Crossover Event for Helldivers 2

The developer’s comments came during a Discord discussion when Sephez, a member of the Helldivers 2 team, revealed that they are “in the very early stages of something new.”This intriguing statement has left players speculating about possible collaborations, with many suggesting a crossover with the iconic Warhammer 40K universe. This theory gained traction following a leaked silhouette resembling the famed Chainsword from the Warhammer franchise, further fuelling excitement among the community. However, no official confirmation has been provided by Arrowhead Game Studios regarding this potential crossover.
This wouldn’t mark the first crossover event for Helldivers 2; the game previously collaborated with Killzone 2, introducing exclusive weapons and armor inspired by Sony’s renowned first-person shooter. Players interested in acquiring the full range of items from the Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover had to invest 1, 975 Super Credits, equating to approximately $19.99. While this cost mirrors spending typically associated with purchasing Premium Warbonds, it planted seeds of curiosity about future crossovers, inviting speculation about which beloved franchises might next intersect with the Helldivers universe.

In recent weeks, Helldivers 2 has also seen a variety of updates, with the latest patch addressing balance changes, bug fixes, and enhancements aimed at improving overall player experience. Notably, the recent removal of new Helldivers 2 Terminids has stirred further interest among the community. With the promise of a forthcoming crossover, players have even more motivation to continue their mission of spreading freedom across the galaxy, eagerly looking forward to what exciting adventures lie ahead.
