Hell Let Loose transports players into the intense environment of World War II, where teamwork is essential for achieving victory. Whether you opt for the role of a Medic or choose another class, having a friend by your side can significantly enhance your survival chances as you navigate through the chaotic trenches.
However, coordinating with friends in this game poses challenges not found in many other online multiplayer shooters. Unlike other titles, Hell Let Loose does not allow for creating private lobbies to play together. This means connecting with friends for a match can be a perplexing experience. Fear not—this guide will navigate you through the various ways to successfully team up with your friends in this engaging experience.
Playing with Friends in Hell Let Loose

It’s crucial to note that Hell Let Loose does not support cross-platform play. Consequently, if you wish to party up with friends, ensure everyone is using the same platform. PC players cannot queue with those on consoles to maintain fair competitiveness. However, all PC users can enjoy the game together, irrespective of whether they are on Steam, Xbox Game Pass (PC), or Epic Games.
Below are several methods to team up and play with friends in Hell Let Loose:
1. Queue into the Same Server

The most straightforward method for playing with friends is to join the same server. By selecting ‘Enlist’ from the main menu, you’ll be presented with a list of servers, including the current maps and player counts. Each server can accommodate up to 100 players.
For optimal teaming up, look for servers with approximately 70 to 80 players. Coordinate with your friend to select the same server and wait for acceptance. Once connected, you can either join forces on the same faction or challenge each other on opposing teams.
Additionally, the Friends tab in the Enlist menu allows you to check if any friends are currently playing on available servers.
2. Invite Friends Inside the Game

If you enter a server with available slots, press the Esc key on your PC to access the main menu. From there, click ‘Invite Friends’ to see a list of anyone currently online. By selecting a friend’s name, you can send them an invitation to join your game.
Your friend will receive the invitation in their main menu and can join your server upon accepting it.
3. Use the In-Game Overlay (Same Platform)

If you’ve connected with friends on the same platform, there’s an efficient way to team up. Join a server that has available slots, then open your in-game overlay. You can invite friends directly from your friends list, although the process may vary slightly by platform.
For Steam users, use the shortcut Shift + Tab to bring up the overlay. Locate your friend’s name, right-click, and select ‘Invite to Play’ for an easy way to have them join your game. This method is also applicable to console gamers.
4. Rent a Server

Your final option is to rent a dedicated server, although this option incurs a fee. Visit the official Hell Let Loose website and navigate to the Server Rental section found at the bottom of the page.
This paid option ensures that you and your friends can play together any time you desire while offering control over the gameplay environment. Alternatively, you can also rent a server directly from the Enlist menu.
Engaging in Hell Let Loose can be daunting; however, having a couple of friends by your side significantly eases the experience. With the strategies outlined above, you should be well-equipped to invite your friends into this authentic tactical shooter and strive for collective victory.
