“He is old but he can still fight” – Kulabdam stacks praise on “idol” Nong-O ahead of ONE Friday Fights 58 fireworks

Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, like numerous others before him, found inspiration in the greatness of Nong-O Hama in ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’.

During ONE Friday Fights 58, the young fighter, who is 25 years old, will finally have the opportunity to face his idol-turned-rival, a living legend he has admired for the majority of his life.

Having achieved a record of 7-3-1 under the ONE banner, Kulabdam is now preparing for the most significant bout of his career. He is set to face off against Nong-O in a crucial three-round bantamweight Muay Thai match at Lumpinee Stadium on April 5.

Prior to this chance that could define his career, ‘Left Meteorite’ expressed his reverence and appreciation for his fellow countryman in an interview with ONE.

“To fight with Nong-O means a lot to me because he’s my idol. I love his style. I respect his discipline and the way he takes care of his body. He is old but he can still fight. I’m happy to have a chance to fight my idol.”

Kulabdam has undoubtedly earned his place in the world’s largest martial arts organization, especially given his recent impressive performances.

The Thai fighter has won his last four fights, with his most recent three victories being impressive finishes against Tyson Harrison, Fariyar Aminipour, and Julio Lobo.

A win by knockout against a legendary fighter like Nong-O will surely boost his ranking in the top five of the division.

Nong-O vows to use aggressive tactics against Kulabdam

Despite suffering two brutal knockouts in his previous fights, Nong-O would not be blamed if he chose to adopt a more cautious approach against the formidable Kulabdam.

Nevertheless, the bold 37-year-old symbol is not someone who avoids a confrontation using guns.

In spite of the potential hazards presented by Kulabdam, Nong-O vows to continue moving forward and providing relentless entertainment in his fight against his powerful opponent.

During an interview with ONE, the ex-bantamweight Muay Thai world champion stated:

“This fight is going to be explosive. I’m ready to go toe-to-toe with him, and I’ll never back down.”
