“He does it to everybody”: LeBron James straightforwardly reacts to Nets blue chip prospect dominating Lakers

Despite facing the challenge of going up against Cam Thomas, LeBron James led the LA Lakers to victory against the Brooklyn Nets with his impressive shooting skills. The four-time NBA champion scored a total of 40 points, hitting nine three-point shots, and was the top scorer for his team.

During the post-game interview, LeBron James praised the former LSU Tiger for his role in keeping the game close for the Nets. The former league MVP also acknowledged Thomas’ consistent high-level performances throughout the season.

“He does that to everybody,”James said. “Cam got it going, and they hit a couple of threes.” (3.37 mark)

Over the 2023-24 season, Cam Thomas has been consistently leading the Nets in scoring, recording an average of 22.0 points, along with 3.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.1 three-pointers in 59 games. In fact, in his most recent game, he tallied an impressive 30 points, six assists and four three-pointers.

The Brooklyn Nets are currently ranked 11th in the NBA Eastern Conference standings. They are significantly behind the Atlanta Hawks by 5.5 games for the final spot in the Play-In Tournament, with only seven games remaining in the regular season.

Cam Thomas claims Lakers’ offseason moves were “underwhelming”

Despite LeBron James having a prolific shooting performance, sinking nine three-pointers against the Brooklyn Nets, Cam Thomas remained unfazed. He attributed their loss to a rough start and missed opportunities on open shots, rather than being affected by James’ stellar gameplay.

“We went like 0-for-10 at the start,”Thomas told reporters. “They didn’t really do nothing too crazy. I had wide-open looks and I didn’t make them to start off. So, no, we just didn’t make the shots to start off, but it’s all right.”

Despite trailing by 26 points in the first half, the Nets were able to stay in the game thanks to Thomas’ strong performance. However, their attempt at a comeback was thwarted when LeBron James started hitting three-pointers.

The Lakers were also boosted by standout showings from Anthony Davis, who recorded a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, and Rui Hachimura, who also contributed a double-double with 20 points and 10 boards.

Despite their previous loss to the Indiana Pacers, the LA Lakers were able to bounce back and secure a victory in their most recent performance. The team has been performing well, with only one loss in their last seven games, and currently hold the ninth spot in the NBA Western Conference standings. They are currently 1.5 games behind the Phoenix Suns, led by Kevin Durant.
