Hannah Jiles from Love is Blind Discusses Weight Loss Journey and Trying Ozempic

In the latest season of Love Is Blind, viewers were introduced to Hannah Jiles, a medical device sales representative. She joined the reality show as one of the contestants seeking to find enduring love. Much like previous seasons, the singles were separated by a wall as they focused on forming emotional connections instead of physical attraction.

Recently, fans noticed a significant transformation in Hannah’s appearance via her social media, leading to speculation about her weight loss. Many attributed her dramatic results to the use of Ozempic, a prescription medication approved by the FDA for managing type 2 diabetes.

In an interview published on October 17 with People, Hannah addressed these speculations, confirming that she did try Ozempic but had to discontinue its use due to adverse effects.

“There’s been a lot of talk about me being on Ozempic. I gave it a go back in the spring for about two weeks. Unfortunately, while I think it’s a great medication, it made me incredibly sick, so I had to stop. Trust me, I’d still be taking it if I could, but it was all just me,” Hannah revealed.

The Weight Loss Journey During Love Is Blind

Throughout her time on Love Is Blind, Hannah formed a connection with Nick, sharing her personal struggles with weight loss during their conversations in the pods.

In her discussion with People, Hannah shared that her weight has undergone many changes since childhood, and during her participation in the show, she was actively pursuing her weight loss goals.

Hannah expressed that she has always felt “super insecure” about her weight and realized that a transformation was necessary. She also voiced her frustrations about online criticisms, insisting that she had been genuinely putting in the effort. Despite having undergone other medical enhancements, she emphasized that these changes did not alter her true self.

“After filming, I’ve had Botox, lip fillers, and hair extensions, but that hasn’t changed who I am. I had a target to hit and I was determined to reach it,” Hannah stated.

On October 9, Jiles shared a video on Instagram showcasing her weight loss progress since filming Love Is Blind season 7. The clip featured her lip-syncing to Dakota Fanning’s lines from the film Uptown Girls, along with a side-by-side of her headshot from the show. In the caption, she wrote, “Same girl, just a healthier mindset.”

Hannah revealed in her interview that she had never been a fan of working out and enjoyed eating instead. While she previously attempted various crash diets, they were ineffective for her, prompting her to embrace exercise, such as Pilates and yoga. She also mentioned that she learned to foster a healthy relationship with food, opting for moderation and balance in her diet.

What Happened Between Hannah and Nick on Love Is Blind?

As viewers may recall, Hannah found a romantic connection with Nick, a former college football player. Their relationship rapidly progressed from the pods to an excursion in Mexico, where they shared intimate moments and deep conversations.

However, Hannah soon realized that their lifestyles clashed when they decided to cohabitate. Nick still relied on his parents’ phone plan and lived in their basement. While their families approved of the relationship, Hannah felt frustrated with Nick’s lack of initiative.

Ultimately, Hannah called off their wedding after introducing Nick to her friends, who were less than impressed with his lifestyle. She noted his shortcomings in her notebook, which Nick found disrespectful, leading to an emotional farewell marked by a hug.
