During the CES 2025 media event, AMD unveiled a glimpse of its custom models from the Radeon RX 9070 XT “RDNA 4″GPU series.

At CES, AMD introduced its RDNA 4 lineup, officially branding the new series as the “Radeon RX 9000″GPUs. While the company opted for a brief overview rather than an in-depth presentation—which is slated for a dedicated event in the future—attendees caught their first look at various custom GPU designs. This upcoming event will dive deeper into the specifics concerning performance metrics, technical specifications, and expected pricing, heightening anticipation among gaming enthusiasts.

Among the showcased models were several notable designs, including options from XFX, Sapphire, ASUS, and PowerColor. XFX introduced two models: a white variant with a sleek 2.5-slot configuration and a more robust black variant featuring a three-slot design equipped with a significant heatsink and three 8-pin connectors. Both prototypes are expected to be refined before their final retail versions are launched.

Sapphire’s offering, known as the PURE White variant, boasts a premium triple-slot and triple-fan cooling setup. It includes dual 8-pin power connectors and provides the option for an additional connector, suggesting that higher-end models may be on the horizon.

ASUS presented its TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT, also built on the Navi 48 “RDNA 4″architecture. This GPU features a substantial triple-slot design with three 8-pin connectors. The model is designed to maximize heat dissipation and includes dual BIOS options, allowing users to choose between a quieter operation mode and a performance-focused mode.

PowerColor’s Red Devil Radeon RX 9070 XT features an imposing triple-fan setup with a 2.5-slot design. This model is equipped with an extensive backplate adorned with RGB LED accents, adding to its aesthetic appeal, while also featuring dual 8-pin connectors and a dual BIOS option for enhanced customization.

Moreover, additional models from other Add-In Board (AIB) partners are in the pipeline. This includes the ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi with a single 16-pin connector, the Yeston Sakura Edition, Vastarmor’s innovative triple-fan design, and various new AORUS options from Gigabyte. AMD will also produce its branded models, featuring a dual-slot and triple-fan configuration, while the RX 9070 will be offered in a more compact dual-slot, dual-fan design. All reference cards will be equipped with dual 8-pin connectors and are expected to make their retail debut in the first quarter of 2025.
