Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe skewers Rashee Rice over Dallas accident fiasco: “Did you not see Henry Ruggs get 11 years?”
The news of Rashee Rice’s accident has been a major topic in the NFL world, with Shannon Sharpe criticizing the Chiefs wide receiver for what he believes to be a poor decision. Although it is still unclear if Rice was present during the accident, it is certain that the vehicle involved belonged to him, and it is likely that he was the one behind the wheel.
Despite not being pleased with the situation, Shannon Sharpe directed his criticism towards both Rashee Rice and those who criticize pundits for offering advice to present players. He stated:
“When we try to tell them, “we hatin”, “Shannon, you done live your life, let that man live his life.”
“You see Ocho, a wise man will learn from other’s mistakes and a fool must learn from his own. Did you not just see Henry Ruggs get 11 years? Yeah, but that ain’t enough.”

Shannon Sharpe’s Former Show Continues to Discuss Rashee Rice as Chiefs Await Further Details
Not only did Shannon Sharpe make these points, but Keyshawn Johnson, who took over for the legendary tight end on Undisputed, also shared a similar response.
According to him, he is familiar with Rashee Rice and has already texted him, but has not received a response yet. The ex-NFL wide receiver also expressed his belief that the Chiefs player should have been more responsible and mentioned his hope that the car was stolen. He also echoed the sentiments of Shannon Sharpe regarding Henry Ruggs.
The organization’s president, Mark Donovan, has also issued a response on behalf of the Chiefs, stating that they will refrain from making any additional statements until all the details are confirmed. His statement reads:
“In all these situations you have to wait until you have all the facts and frankly, we don’t have all the facts at this point. We’ll get to the bottom of it, we’ll gather the facts and we’ll react accordingly.”
Rashee Rice’s lawyers released a statement, instructing that all inquiries be directed to them.
“On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday. Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.”
Despite the ongoing progress of the case, it appears that the Chiefs wide receiver may not have a favorable outcome.
Despite having just won the Super Bowl, he is now faced with the task of dealing with this issue before preparing for the next season. As both Shannon Sharpe and Keyshawn Johnson pointed out, he should have been more aware of the situation, assuming that he was indeed present at the scene.
