Hailie Jade and Evan McClintock Announce the Gender of Eminem’s Grandchild

Eminem is set to embrace the role of grandfather, as his daughter Hailie Jade and her husband Evan McClintock recently disclosed the gender of their upcoming child. On the October 11 episode of the podcast Just a Little Shady, Hailie revealed that they are expecting a baby boy.

The couple announced the gender by bursting a golden balloon that released blue confetti. The thrilled parents couldn’t contain their excitement as they exclaimed:

“It’s a boy!”

Hailie Jade detailed her husband’s enthusiasm upon discovering they would soon welcome a “little buddy”into their lives. She reminisced about the moment Evan found out the gender, saying:

“We’re both so thrilled. When we learned the news, Evan exclaimed, ‘They’ll be going hunting and golfing with me. I have a little buddy!’ To which I replied, ‘Sure, but they’re still coming to Target with me.’”

In defense of his remarks, McClintock insisted that he would have shared those interests with his child, regardless of whether it was a boy or girl. He hopes to partake in those activities with his son in the future.

Hailie Jade’s Pregnancy Announcement in Eminem’s Music Video

Last week, Hailie Jade Mathers grabbed attention when she revealed her pregnancy in a poignant clip from Eminem’s music video for his song “Temporary.”The video creatively features moments from Hailie’s childhood up to her May wedding with Evan McClintock. Near the conclusion, Hailie surprises her father with a Detroit Lions jersey emblazoned with “Grandpa”and “No. 1″on the back.

The camera caught Eminem’s shocked reaction, showcasing his jaw dropping and eyes widening. She also gifted him ultrasound photos, which made the emotional moment even more poignant.

During the October 11 podcast episode, Hailie recounted that her father was initially skeptical about her pregnancy when she presented him with the jersey. He mistakenly thought it was a humorous jab at his age.

It was only when he saw the sonogram images that he was convinced. Following the release of the music video, Hailie Jade shared maternity photos on Instagram, captioned, “mom & dad est. 2025.”

On October 4, during their Just a Little Shady podcast, Hailie Jade and her best friend Brittany Ednie shared more insights about her pregnancy. Hailie playfully teased Ednie for having a bit too much to drink and expressing her fear of the Joker for “30 minutes”during Hailie’s wedding. Ednie defended her antics, mentioning that she could discuss it now that Hailie’s pregnancy is publicly known; this wasn’t the case at the wedding. She explained:

“Well, she was sipping on a drink and being responsible, but when people weren’t looking, she’d hand me her drink, and I would gulp it down so it seemed like she was continuously drinking that night.”

Hailie Jade added that her friend was simply “taking one for the team,”even though she hadn’t specifically asked her to. She acknowledged Ednie’s role in keeping her pregnancy under wraps until she could share the happy news with Eminem.
