While the original Hades featured the Mirror of Night and House Contractor as the core customization hubs, the sequel revitalizes these concepts through fresh locales. In Hades 2, players will see Melinoë engaging with the Cauldron to unlock an array of items and enhancements via a new mechanism known as Incantations.
The Incantations in Hades 2 play a crucial role in expanding gameplay mechanics and introducing diverse locations. Through these Incantations, Melinoë can access new gardening plots, fishing areas, and even the hidden aspects of her Nocturnal Arms. New Warsong Update Incantations in Hades 2
In addition to introducing four new Incantations, the Warsong Update has also refined several existing ones:
- Deathly Fortune: Now unlocks later in the game and restricts trades to Fish for bones only, which were previously more varied.
- Psychic Slivers of Clarity: Completely removed following updates in resource management.
- Bones of Arcane Wisdom: Formerly Bones of Burnished Bronze, this now boosts Magick instead of providing armor.

Alchemy Incantations:

Progress can be gauged via a timer on the Cauldron, indicating how many locations must be completed before readiness. Players can also spend time engaging with other characters to pass the time, such as going to the Hot Springs, fishing, or visiting the Taverna without embarking on a new run.
